WINDOWS 7
A friend of mine from back home recently installed Windows 7 on his desktop which has very basic hardware, and tells me that its working extremely well. I posted some pictures HERE. Those of you interested could check it.This is a good news for people with older hardware.
GAMES
I recently played the demo of Torchlight. I loved the game, but it has a lot spiders in it, which I am not pleased about. The game is perfect for me in a lot of ways, it has just the kind of save system I need. The game reminds me so much of original Diablo. I think its definitely worth buying.
I am also playing Bioshock. I am starting to get into the game and it looks really promising.
The last game I finished was Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth. Its a RTS based on the movie and I enjoyed it a lot. It has all the key battles - Mines of Moria, Isengard, Minas Tirith, Helms Deep and Mordor; they are really epic. Highly recommened to all RTS fans.
LIFE
I have a feeleing this is going to be my last blog till the end of the semester. I have an exam tonight, a submission tomorrow, a meeting on Tuesday, a homework due on Wednesday and its going to worse. I will be on Xfire of course, playing Bioshock whenever I can.
That's about all for now. Hope you had a great Halloween. Take care everyone and see you around.
Comments
I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7 but ironically as it is... none of my Microsoft hardware (Keyboard, Mouse, and Camera) are supported by it and according to the upgrade advisor... I would have to replace all of those and more. I will have to wait until I get a new computer because I simply cannot afford to replace everything it is telling me. The pictures really look nice... and I am sure it runs awesome from what I have heard!
Good luck on your exam and studing! I look forward to your next blog when you get some free time!
@Sandpiper121PP: There seems to be something wrong, I sent you a PM, please read it.
Just read your Mirror's Edge review as well. I tried this game but it had a bug so I had to download a patch so I never came to finishing it. It was an interesting game indeed though I really dislike first person tunnel views and have prefered to be able to play third person. Maybe I go back and finish it some time.
I am sure you will enjoy Bioshock which is also a game I tried and it was a good game but not really my cup of tea.
I got me Batman Arkham Asylum today though I would have really liked to play Uncharted but I don't have a console
That was a very nice Mirror's edge review! It's one of the 4 games I'm wanting to buy before next summer (which are Mirror's Edge, Bioshock 2, Ratchet and Clank Crack in Time and LittleBigPlanet).
also you it took you a while to finish that mirrors edge review but you finally got there! so well done there too.
Torchlight is pretty good and yes it does seema lot like diablo. definitely a good buy for $20
Good to hear you're playing Bioshock, it's such a great game and that coming from a RPG nut, so imagine
Good luck with everything you have to do the following days and take care
