REVIEWS

Deus Ex

I wrote two reviews - Wolfenstein and Deus Ex. Click on the picture to go to my blog.

Wolfenstein was a disappointment. I had high hopes for it. It wasn't bad, but it had some really stupid design decisions to put up with, and that killed the game for me.

Deus Ex, what can I say? One of the best games ever? Those of you who didn't play, do so.

GAMES FINISHED

I finished Crysis Warhead, STALKER and Mirror's Edge recently. I want to work on the reviews, but I don't have time for it right now, so it might take anytime between a week or a month before my Mirror's Edge review comes out. I speak as if everyone is eagerly waiting for it. Sometimes I'd like to believe so.

I started playing BioShock, will write about it soon. Also need to finish Tomb Raider Legend - I can't get myself to play that game. There are a couple of levels to go, and I can't click on the icon. I really want to finish it, uninstall it, and forget about Tomb Raider.

I wish I had the money to get the new Batman game. I have to wait until next year before I can.

LIFE

Two tests next week, and a work meeting that I am not completely prepared for at the moment, so I am going to use the rest of the weekend to get that out of the way, and hopefully study for the tests as well.

I just finished my cleaning tasks for the week, and I am going to get some lunch and start my work.

Hope you all have a fun weekend. Take care and see you around.

I was curious about Wolfenstein, but now I read your review and I might pass it. I played Deus EX for the PS2, I didn't like it that much. Nonetheless, great reviews.

Good review, but I really liked Wolfy, so I would score it a bit higher.

I watched Wolfenstein. It wasn't as cool as I would've liked it to be Your review points some things that I checked when I saw it. I was glad I had the chance to see it before getting it.

Great reviews. I agree that Deus Ex is a classic...too bad there aren't more games like it on the market.
Haven't played Wolfenstein, and based on your review (and others that echo your sentiments), I don't think I will be playing it anytime soon.

Hey C U should try Tomb Raider Underworld - I hear you get tons of big Hairy spiders in the game . This game i'll positively play on good mood / mindset later

I bought Wolfenstein for my brother last week but haven't try it myself. To be honest I am not a fan of these type of games I have already send it to him and he will tell me if he like it
Deus Ex is certainly a cla$$ic. I have played Deus Ex 2 as well but it is kind of different than the first one. I like Sci-Fi plots, so I enjoyed it anyway. I have got a couple of oldies as well, like MGS2 and I will start playing it a.s.a.p. Batman ist another game I wanted to buy but maybe I play the old games first. TR Legends, well it was rather good. The first game in the series without a quicksave. and the hand pointing and telling us what we show do was a pain in the neck About Bioshock, I am sure you will like it

Just read your Deus Ex review. It was really good I couldn't rate it though Glad you enjoyed the game so much. Yeah pity they don't make such good deep games anymore. About the graphics, yeah it is an old game so one cannot expect much. We are used to next gen graphics a la Underworkd now so poor graphics are a bit disturbing. But I must admit they are some older games with good graphic but Deus Ex is not one of them. I remember carrying and throughing large carts in DeusEx2 and it felt like they were 2 gramm heavy

even i was really hyped up bout wolfenstien but then i heard nothing but bad stuff about it so am not gonna play it now
right now i'm playing NFS:Shift and its awesome apart from the fact that its almost impossible to win if you dont dont get into a good position right in the beginning of the race

Best of luck, hope you get the job me gonna start applying for Fall 2010 soon

@ Fari - ^ ^ you got MGS 2 ? Wooot , you should definately start playing it first , forget rest games .Its a fantastic game .You should try MGS 1 too .
You got a gamepad ? otherwise keypad controls / controlling might be troublesome .

Some people underate the game for RAIDEN ( Sorry for the spoilers ) but hes a gr8 playable character and personality in MGS 2 ... imo .

If you need any troubleshooting regarding MGS you can freely consult me

Great review! I think I'm going to pass on Wolfenstein, and instead get Operation Flash Point Dragon Rising

Nice reviews. I remember playing Wolf 3D back in the day. That game rocked. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the newer version faired so well.

Reviews are good ! Looking forward to your next ones...

Sorry for being a little late for commenting on your blog.

Not alot of people thought Wolfenstein wasnt all that speculator of a game. However, I had a good time playing Wolfenstein, with its fun gun battles and decent storyline.

Hey, sorry I missed this blog.

I recently tried the Wolfenstein demo and my impressions are similar to yours. If I find it cheap in the future I'll pick it up but I don't expect much from it.

Hope that life is going swell.
