Mirror's Edge

I recently purchased a copy of Mirror's Edge on Amazon for $7.22 with shipping. The copy just arrived and I am installing it right now. I got a really sweet deal and for that price, I think its definitely worth buying the game. Also the PC version has support for PhysX. I am thinking I'd enjoy this game.

UT 3

I was trying to decide between Mirror's Edge and Unreal Tournament 3, because both were available on NewEgg for $9.99, when my friend JackBurton contacted me offered me his copy of Unreal Tournament 3 for free! I downloaded it over Steam and I've been enjoying it a lot. Thanks a lot my friend! Much appreciated.

REVIEW

Commandos 2

I recently worte a review of Commandos 2. Head over to my blog to read it.

NOW PLAYING

I've been playing Crysis Warhead and Unreal Tournament 3. There is STALKER, BioShock, Tomb Raider Legend and Need Fpr Speed Carbon left in the unfinished pile. I don't think I am going to play Need For Speed Carbon anymore, but I intend to finish the rest of the games. For now though, Mirror's Edge needs to be given a trial run.

That's all for now. Take care everyone and see you around.

Personally Unreal Tournament has more value but at only being a year old Mirrors Edge is a steal at $7.00.

Finish BIOSHOCK! You won't be disappointed.

You have good games to play
I think mirrors edge is a good game. I might get it.
I haven't played any games recently. I hardly find time to check my mail

Mirrors edge was awesome!

UT 3 isnt as fun as the old ut games, in my mind.
Posted Sep 23, 2009 1:14 pm PT
Wow, only seven dollars. Good deal.

You started bioshock and haven't kept going or you just haven't started yet? If you haven't started then ok, but if you started and don't like it then I'm shocked. I recommend Bioshock 100 fold over mirrors edge and UT3

I've got a friend at work that has Mirror's Edge so I need to borrow it from him. It looked pretty cool and it received decent reviews.

gotta play Bioshock, dude! Its Rapturishious! Rapturific?
Posted Sep 23, 2009 7:27 pm PT
I gotta agree with nutcrackr...you got Bioshock and STALKER in your "unfinished" pile, and yer engaging Mirrors Sledge? (...er...Mirrors Edge...). Both those other games are worthy of a "Top Ten" list in SOMEBODIES ranking. Especially STALKER...I haven't posted my review, but it's waiting in my save files...But do yourself a favor and fnish STALKER or Bioshock before you embark on a gimicky-loaded fighting-game wannabe. Just a imho...

Mirror's Edge is a fun innovative game though my copy was bugged so I couldn't save. I have heard this happening to some other players too but maybe the new copies are flawless but it would be wise to download the available patches anyway.

Commandos is a very popular game indeed but I have never played it because I don't like WW2 plots. Pity otherwise I would have certainly played it.

Mirrors edge was really fun to play i loved it

@60spaure: If you live in the US, then yeah, get on Amazon and buy it. I am enjoying a lot. Make sure you update the game though. There are some PhysX issues. Once updated, its all good.

@SGTiD1NG0: I almost bought UT 3, but because I received it as a gift, I bought Mirror's Edge instead.

@deiviuxs: I definitely intend to.

@angelkadaj: Thanks! If you can get your hands on Mirror's Edge for about $10, it's totally worth it. I am not sure I would pay full price for this game. Its short and I am not sure there is a whole lot of replay value.

Life can be that way sometimes. The week has been really crazy for me that way, but you'll come through.

@mimic-Denmark: Did you play Mirror's Edge on PC? I thought the controls were really good.
I have not played UT 2004, but I felt some of the weapons in Ut 2003 were better - the flack canon for example. Having said that, this isn't a bad game at all!

@msudude211: Absolutely. If you don't have it, you should get it from Amazon.

@nutcrackr: BioShock is a totally epic game, which is why I wanted to play it when I had a little more time on my hands. I wanted to follow the story like I did in Deus Ex. I took my time playing it - 53 hours, Xfire tells me - I want to do the same with BioShock. So don't be shocked I totally like the game, I just wanted the right experience.

I entirely agree with the others about Bioshock. It's such a great game with a very solid story. If you find enough time, play it
Posted Sep 24, 2009 11:14 am PT
@Garrison_Ford: Definitely worth playing it once. I wish the melee combat was a bit more polished. That was the reason I am playing the game on easy - the combat won't be an issue, besides I am not playing it for the combat anyway.

@ziegd: I agree with you as well, just that given the time I have these days, it is not possible to get into a game, which is why I picked up something that is relatively mindless. Remember too that STALKER is a bit of punishing game even on Normal difficulty - I find myself dying quite a bit, so I figured I'd rather see these couple of weeks and resume STALKER at the start of fall break and finish it and then start with BioShock.

@Allicrombie: You are a huge fan of BioShock aren't you? Did you play it on the PC?

@khatibi22: Mirror's Edge is definitely innovate. Huge credit has to be given to the developers for trying something different. Its not that they failed with the game, I just feel that combat could have been better

Too bad that you are not a fan of WW2 games, because Commandos 2 is amazing. I would still recommend you try the game, you might even like it.

@neerajkumar_4: Yep, me too. Good game and a steal at $7.22

@tinoshke: Overwhelming love for BioShock! I almost feel guilty for not playing it!
Posted Sep 24, 2009 11:20 am PT
No, I played Mirrors Edge on the 360. The controls were great there. But great game.
Posted Sep 24, 2009 1:26 pm PT
4get everything and get bioshock
Posted Sep 24, 2009 9:58 pm PT
UT3 is one of my favorite games, mostly because of the Krall.
Posted Sep 24, 2009 10:10 pm PT
man i gotta go back and finish mirror's edge had left it in the middle then just dont feel like plaing it now

btw howz warhead compared to crysis should i bother buying it??

Mirror's Edge is an amazing game! Enjoy!

As far as your unfinished pile goes... I think Bioshock is a game you will love... and Tomb Raider Legend is also an awesome game as well!

Here's a STALKER tip...I agree that it's probably the most punishing game to come out in a long time (which is a good thing). Play it on the max difficulty...I actually found it easier than medium dificulty, due to the ballistics model that the devs planted in the game.

@mimic-Denmark: Yeah it was a great game; I finished it a couple of days ago. I liked the ending, quite cinematic.

@shiben: I hear you man. I want to finish STALKER and get right on it!

@Jd1680a: I can see why. Its a very good game with excellent visuals.

@pindropviolence: Finish Mirror's Edge, its a great game if you play it on Easy. I did not like the melee combat, but everything else was done very well.

If could, I would give Warhead 11/10. I hope that answers your question on whether or not you should buy this game

@Sandpiper121PP: Yet again, so much love for BioShock. I am going to play it very soon.

I don't know if I will be able to get myself to finish Tomb Raider Legend. The visuals are great, and some of the puzzles are good, but the overall gameplay is just not quite there.

@ziegd: I suppose I can understand what you are saying, but I am apprehensive about attempting it on hard. It was very punishing initially. I might give it another go, but the fact that BioShock is waiting is making me very impatient. Thanks for the tip though.
