Hello there. ~ de arimasu

This past couple of weeks have been pretty interesting. I've been in the studio at the school trying to record all of the compositions I consider decent enough to make demos and maybe produce them professionally later on. In average, I've spent like 3-4 hours each time I get in there. ~ de arimasu

The average time I take to record all the instruments and sing a song, and mix everything in a decent way is about 10-12 hours. ~ de arimasu

Wait... do I play all the instruments? No, I'm not a genius >.>... however, I can make some drum loops, imagine what the base would sound like and play it with the midi keyboard; and about the piano, guitar and voice... well, I do play those myself. ~ de arimasu

So yeah, so far I've recorded 4 songs, have 3 half-way through, and another one I haven't started yet. ~ de arimasune

With that said, one of those compositions is my homework for my composition subject, and it has to be related to Christmas. So I wrote my first jazz song. I never though I would get to this point in life. ~ de arimasu

My composition teacher would be singing, one teacher the base guitar, and two other teachers would be playing the alto sax... all just to help me. I would be playing the piano, and I just need to confirm the person who'll play the acoustic guitar and the drums.~ de arimasune

The problem, which is not so much of a problem, is that now I'm helping 3 other people with their own compositions so they can get it done. ~ de arimasu

Anyway, one of those three people is a girl, who... ~ de arimasu

Wait, do I want to share this now? It would make this blog really long. If you guys want to read the story, tell me though, and I could dedicate the next blog to it. ~ de arimasu

-------------------

Yesterday I was really sick. I woke up at 8:00am feeling really bad, and I was supposed to get to the school to help with the cafeteria at 8:30am. I finally made it and got there at 9:12am. All morning all I wanted to do was to return home and sleep. Obviously, I couldn't do it since I was in charge of the cafeteria =_=... so I was there all morning, and later they told me they needed help with some tech stuff for the devotional time in the afternoon, so I stayed there until 3:00pm. ~ de arimasu

Then, I felt the urge to go to the studio and record [evil: yes, go and do it! ~desu]... and I basically did something (like an hour) and then slept all afternoon in there xD... ~ de arimasu

------------------

Today was pretty "interesting"... we (the school band) got lost trying to get to a church to play. I would blame the leader, who got directions in MapQuest although I told him to get them in Google Map. ~ de arimasu

So anyway, we made a 2 hour trip which was actually 40 minutes long (the time it took to return), and missed the food they were offering before the service. You can't imagine how hungry (and happy) I was when I finally got to eat at 4:56pm in Wendy's >.> ~ de arimasu

Also, we obviously didn't make a sound check or anything, and they told us "don't worry, we'll make it while you play the first song"... that first song was horrible! I couldn't hear anybody, and in the part of a guitar solo we all got lost! ~ de arimasu

The rest of the playing was fine, I guess... and tomorrow we are playing along a Brazilian band (pretty famous in Brazil, I heard), so we really need to rehearse a couple of things (like our drummer putting the wrong loop in a song ) ~ de arimasu

I think that is all for now. Have a good night. ~ de arimasune

I'm jealous. You're making an album and that just sounds so awesome! Be sure to put some demos on here.

Sorry to hear that you were sick. That always sucks.

* roll450: Yeah, it is kinda hard to understand portuguese, though (pretty similar to Spanish, but still)... and yeah, there should be a prohibition banning mapquest xD. ~ de arimasu

* Yagr_Zero: Well, how did you come to that conclusion? I didn't say anything. ~ de arimasu

Don't be jealous, I still need a lot of work on my stuff, but I'll provide a demo to some of my friends. ~ de arimasu

And I'm much better today, thanks for worrying. ~ de arimasu

* Angey: I've been having fun (busy = fun for me, it seems ~ de arimasu)

Oh, I wouldn't dare to cheat on my beloved wife... I know that the consecuences could be pretty bad. Don't jump to conclusions... yet. ~ de arimasu

* SoraX64: Well, I'll tell you a little secret. The more I learn about music, the more I realize how bad I am. ~ de arimasu

* bulletsword: Hmm... you have really left me thinking... about what you could possibly mean by that. ~ de arimasu
