Check out the "User Reviews" on the Gamespot Community Blog, as they mention my review of Tales of Vesperia (a great JRPG, btw). No big deal, but it's nice to see that they recognize greatness.

Also, you may recall in my last blog (back in November!) talking about going to a Celtic Thunder concert. Well, my wife Shannon and oldest daughter Darrah had the opportunity to go to a second show in Orlando, and they got there early enough to meet two of the five singers. That's Ryan from Ireland on the left and George from Scotland on the right. Surprisingly enough Shannon still came home to me after hanging out with these guys, guess it was a good thing Darrah was there to keep her in line.

Yeah, it's cool that JodyR is keeping up with the community blog. I like the new style (posting user reviews and videos). That's awesome that your review was up there. Hopefully one day I'll join ya!

Hey, that still gives you 14 more minutes to go. For some reason I can no longer recommend reviews, all I get is an error. I'm glad your review got recognized and I know there will be others. Keep up the good work. Great pics too!

nice review congrats on the recognition

Well done Dave! You've made the Temple proud!!

The new community blog is really good, congrats Celtic .Recommed ToV and Too Human both!

Congrats on getting the review mentioned! It's always nice to be noticed.

Ha nice Dave. You are a reviews king!
Posted Feb 10, 2009 2:32 pm PT
Congratulations with your minute of fame, that is a great review (the game, not so much). Come on, I think Dave is better than those 2 guys there, whatever Celtic Thunder is!

Very cool that you were mentioned in the community blog. Congrats.
Posted Feb 10, 2009 3:29 pm PT
I still have yet to hear of Celtic Thunder from anyone actually Celtic
Hardly matters if they're doing well in the states though I suppose.

Congrats on getting a mention in the community blog, though I find it pretty funny that their Devil May Cry 4 review links to an Okami review by an entirely different user. Good to know Gamespot is as well run as ever

The most fame I've ever had with a review was when my Heavenly Sword review was featured on the PS3 page a while back (dang, that was like a year and half ago.). It's cool that GS is getting more in touch with the GS community again.

Oooh, congrats on the review plug. Why weren't you able to make the Orlando show?
Posted Feb 10, 2009 8:05 pm PT
Congrats on being featured there Dave, it's well deserved - that was a good review. It's a game I still have yet to try that I'd like too. And since you enjoyed it more than Fallout 3, which I absolutely loved, I at least need to play it. That's cool that your daughter and wife got to go to a second Celtic Thunder Show.

Congratulations on your minute of fame!

Yeah that's awesome , i wrote a few reviews to, but i couldn't match yours even though i put lots of effort
By the way these guys are great , i wish they would come to greece for a concert

Congrats Dave! You deserve the recognition. Your reviews are always good.

Ty, Garrison, toolz, Michelle, Gen Warbuff, Max & Nate - Thank you, I know my reviews aren't always the most comprehensive but I just try to give info people will be interested in

ntfw - I can't wait for the other 14! I know about that problem, for the longest time I couldn't recommend reviews and then one day it started working again so don't give up hope!

Randy - Thanks, I always try to be a good rep of the Temple!

Jude - Thanks, though I guess we'll never fell quite the same about ToV. Yeah, I guess I've still got it, at least as far as Shannon is concerned

Donn - I was talking about that to Shannon and she said that's still the strangest thing. They're just getting huge here but still not that big of a deal in Ireland! Oh well, guess that means they'll continue to do more concerts over here

Kris - Ah, so you've had your minute of fame as well! Congrats, even if it's a year and a half late

Tommy - Thanks, and what happenned was that a friend of Shannon had actually won two tickets to the Orlando show but didn't care about going so she gave them to her, and my daughter is really crazy over CT so I suggested Shannon take her instead of me. Am I a great Dad or what

Anthony - Thanks, and while I did enjoy FO3, and it's tough to compare the two games since they are quite a bit different, it came down to the fact that after playing ToV for 60 hours I really enjoyed it the whole way through, which is more than i can say about most games!

Bazza28 - Thank you
Posted Feb 11, 2009 5:49 am PT
Dimitris - Thanks, and that's great you know about CT! So far you're the only other person on GS that knows about them

Ron - Thank you, I try to stay as concise as I can with reviews and get right to the points that I think people would be the most interrested in.
Posted Feb 11, 2009 5:54 am PT
Congratulations Dave!
For some reason I haven't been able to recommend any reviews for a while.
Posted Feb 11, 2009 6:39 am PT
Celtic, you should be very proud. Foremost, your review was very well done. Secondly, it deserves the recognition that it in fact received. Good for you Celtic. I don't comment much here at GS anymore, although your blogs and reviews seem to always warrant my attention. Well done Celtic.
Posted Feb 11, 2009 1:49 pm PT
Stevo - hanks, and I know what you mean. I went a couple of months where i couldn't comment on reviews, but then suddenly it started to work again so hopefully that will happen to you

Darren - Thank you for your kind words. I don't blog very often, but when i do I try to make it about something that might be remotely interesting

nice man, hope I get recognized someday as well. anyways have fun gaming.
Posted Feb 12, 2009 8:01 pm PT
Wow that's great! I believe in you Dave! *thumbs up review*
Posted Feb 16, 2009 10:31 am PT
pspitus & riceball - Thank you!
Posted Feb 17, 2009 7:35 am PT
Now the question is would you come back to Shannon if you met them?! That's pretty cool they met them. CT plays a lot where you live, eh?
Posted Feb 21, 2009 11:53 am PT
Ros - Well, they do have a pretty hot Irish lass that dances to some of their songs so you never know! Actually Shannon lucked out since CT just did two shows - one in Tampa and then one in Orlando and her and Darrah were lucky enough to catch both
