I'm a bit late in posting this blog thanks to some trouble I had with photoshop, but better late than never! A week ago last Saturday my friend Jude, known to many of you as Lightfellower from the RPG Temple, was down here in Florida checking out the sites before he made his trip back to Edmonton and then finally back home to Singapore. My family and I had the pleasure of getting together with Jude and spending an afternoon with him. That's my son Dylan (Nelo100) on the left, and yes, he's already taller than me Anyways, despite the 90+ temperatures we had a great time! Jude is a very polite, thoughtful and intelligent young man who has a great future - reminds me of myself 23 years ago, where did I go wrong My 12 and 8 year old daughters really took to Uncle Jude and were feeling pretty low when we took him to the bus terminal (he headed for Miami the next day) but now we have a reason to visit Singapore!

Uncle Jude, hehe.

It's still awesome you guys actually got to meet one another. I know I'd like to meet the fellow Templites someday....if it is at all possible.

You guys look like you were out to have fun I hope you did have fun.

Kris - Yeah, we'll have to arrange a get together for all of the Temple members, in Florida of course

Marksman - Have to say we did have a good day despite the heat, but that's Florida for you!

Danged hooligans! Show some respect!

So which sites did you guys see?

Randy - Let's just say we left a path of destruction that will never be forgotten The day before Jude went to Disney World with his friends so on Saturday we just took him to a place called Old Town, that's kind of a throwback to the 50's and 60's. Lots of musclecars, amusement rides, nolstalga stores and of course minigolf!

Sounds like you had a good time. Very nice.
If only it were that hot where I am, England is giving me mixed responses weather-wise >_>

Sounds fun
And im with Snake4eva_92....the weather here is annoying me atm, the other week it was so hot that me and my mates would go out at around 2am in a T-shirt and just chill on the streets. Now its bloody freezing!!

Haha, uncle Jude indeed. That title so suits me. Nothing went wrong with you Dave. With your wonderful family, you'd obviously done something right.

If I from SE Asia can actually meet up with you, I am sure the opportunities for the meeting with other templites are wide open!

Very cool that you guys had a chance to meet up...i thought the one of you two in the stocks/pillory was pretty funny.

Sanke & TY - Your weather reminds me of the way it was when I lived up north in New England. Freezing one day then hot the next. At least it never got boring!

Jude - Well, I guess your right about that, my family turned out pretty good As you say this should be the beginning of Temple meetings!
Posted May 20, 2008 9:55 am PT
That's cool to hear that Jude had a good time over there.

Ah a shady looking group to be sure, I hope the authorities have been given the photograph

Glad you guys had a good time!

Bamdude - Yeah, at least I think he had a good time!

Michelle - I can only hope they don't have it, I have too long of a rap sheet to be sent back to the slammer

Sounds like you had a great time. It was in the 90's for a couple days here last week, which hardly ever happends, doesn't get humid here though. Hey nice Red Sox jersey, what # do you have on the back?
Posted May 20, 2008 12:07 pm PT
phoenyx - Good old #9! Shannon gave it to me last year for Father's Day
Posted May 20, 2008 12:18 pm PT
Ha ha, I almost guessed! That's what I would get too, it's one of the reasons 9 is my favorite number. Great gift btw! I still need to get myself a jersey so I can wear it to the A's games.

I'm still surprised that Jude didn't make one of his classic ice grill/mean muggin faces.

But it's cool that y'all had a good time.

Your son looks like a big boy. I bet you have a great family.

Great picture and story. After reading the title of your blog I was not really expecting to read such an uplifting story.

Taller yes but not wiser.......right.....

Ron - You know, after the fact I was thinking we should have done a gangsta pose, but i always think of great things after it's too late

darren - Yeah, Dylan's getting pretty tall, and I do have to say I have a great family

BulletProof - Thanks, I try to come up with a blog title that will get people's attention, maybe I should work for a newspaper! Dylan is taller but definitely not wiser, not by a long shot

Hey celtic. Thats pretty cool you got to hang with an internet/gaming buddy. Whenever you're in Boston or Cape Cod hit me up! BTW, whose jerzey are you wearing?
Posted May 24, 2008 1:39 am PT
Roslindale - I'll be sure to let you know the next time we head north. We still have plenty of relatives that live in New England so we'll be back up there eventually. I'm wearing #9, which my wife gave me last year for a Father's Day gift. I decided that I wanted either Williams or Yaz. As much as I like today's players you never know how long they'll be with Boston!

That's awesome, Jude was going to visit me until he decided to visit the other coast instead . Oh well, his loss . PS: I'm enjoying the fantasy baseball league of ours, way to to put a wooping on me last week .

Jeff - I could be wrong but I think of Jude as being a traveling kind of guy, wouldn't surprise me if he came back to USA and checked out the west coast. I'm surprised at how my team's been doing, personally I'm not that impressed with it, at least not on paper

Chaucer - Hey, age catches up to us all sooner or later And yes, we took great delight in terrorizing all the tourists attractions
