What better time to announce the game I liked the most in 2007 than March of the following year? Anyway, 2007 was a great year for gaming...in particular shooters. We saw the release of Crysis, CoD4, and Halo 3 among others last year and they all turned out to be great games. There was also a very unique take on the stealth genre in a little game called Assassin's Creed which was amazing but a bit repetitive. My choice is none of the above. The game that I enjoyed the most was the only game I hyped AAA that fell short, Mass Effect. One of the better RPG's released in recent years, it combined amazing graphics with a superb story that was good enough to make you keep playing for hours on end. My copy is still at my cousin's house (and his Assassin's Creed at mine
) but I can see myself continuing on my second playthrough as soon as I get it back. ![]()
YES, BUT WHAT LIES AHEAD?
2008 is looking pretty good as well. I still only have a 360 as far as consoles go so I'll stick to it. Fable 2 is the game I see having the most potential. It is a game in a genre that has presented little competition lately and may end up setting itself away from the pack as a result. It also seems to be adding so many new elements to the original and every last one of them sounds really exciting. Of course we cannot forget Gears of War 2. The original was an incredible shooter for it's time (and still is) and according to Cliffy B this one will blow by it in every way. Ninja Gaiden 2 is the true sequel to one of the best (if not the best) action games of all time. The monsters I've seen so far look way bigger and way meaner than anything in the Xbox edition.
So...THIS YEAR WILL OWN!11
