Yeah, I admit it... I'm an iPhone Gamer. What can I say? I own a 3GS and pretty much it's the most awesome phone I've ever had. It fits all my vids, from anime movies and series to game trailers and features to movie trailers (and movies) to sexy stuff, music and recently, tons of games. Not only that but awesome games- games that you can just whip out, play for a bit, then whip back in. It's not the same as a PSP or DS, but it doesn't have to be. A phone's with you all the time, everywhere, every time. You can't always bring a portable console. But then, the lines have blurred as the iPhone is, in fact, a game console by now.
Anyway, here are my fave iPhone games. These will probably never be deleted from my phone, ever. Defender Chronicles. It's one of those many, many, many Tower Defense games, and a fixed-path TD game at that. But the production values speak for itself- the art, the music (despite the cheezy advisor voice), sound effects and most importantly, tge RPG-strengthened gameplay is addictive and awesome. Holding back literal HORDES of enemies with strategically-placed units is satsfying, and even more so when your upgraded hero and units kick ass when they level up. Lots of unlockables and treats give this huge replay value, and best of all your game saves when you switch off. Rewarding and addictive to the extreme.
Time Crisis Strike. Perfectly realized on the iPhone, with great touch controls make this a true arcade experience on the mobile.
Alive 4-ever. Yeah, the name's funny- it's surely meant to cash in on the Left 4 Dead franchise, but this top-down, run-and-gun shooter gives you tons of guns to unlock, stats and items to upgrade, lots of missions and creepy atmosphere. Which makes it pretty damn great.
Cooking Mama. This Wii original is great on the iPhone, thanks to the cool touchscreen controls. Tempura, yummy!
iQuarium. Not really a game- more of a goldfish simulator. Raise and feed your fishie day by day, upgrading your aquarium with new stuff. Photorealistic visuals and the ability to interact with your charge by tapping the screen (like a real aquarium) make this a nice non-game to enjoy and watch.
Fast Lane Racing. I hate driving games. I played the demo for this once- then I bought the full game. Nuff said.
So now anywhere is game time. Even if there's no Tekken yet on the iPhone, who knows what the future may bring? Man, I love technology.

So here and I got myself a copy of Modern Warfare 2, just so I can see what all this hubbub is about.
Nah, I'm kidding of course. I was intrigued by the first Modern Warfare, but as I'm not really that big of a shooter fan I kinda let it pass. But MW2 looks so much better, and apparently is more accessible that I just had to get it. Plus the trailers and videos intrigued me. Looks pretty awesome, so why not. I'm enlisting. Looks to be a nice change from all the hand-to-hand fighting and sword-slashing I've been doing with Tekken 6 and Dragon Age: Origins. Heheh.

First and foremost, ignore all those mediocre reviews... this game ROCKS. It's the best Tekken ever, and it looks gorgeous and plays even better. Here are my thoughts so far...
Graphics and Animation are amazing, Sub-HD issues be damned. The game looks gorgeous in 720p. If your eyes are too sophisticated, then them's the breaks. It looks just as detailed as the arcade version to me.
Scenario Campaign Mode is cool, I think... it's an expanded Story Mode which focuses mainly on the two newcomers from Bloodline Rebellion. There are quite a few 'firsts' in the story of Lars Alexandersson and Alisa Bosconovitch; Lars seems to be the first 'heroic' Mishima, free of any taint of evil (like Jin). Plus his relationship with Alisa is clearly romantic, another first. Let's hope this couple continues their adventures in the next Tekken, although Scenario Campaign might not return as it has been the spanking-boy of critics.
Ranking is limited to 1st Dan offline; you want to get higher? Play online and get ranked. I think that sucks.
TONS of Items and Customizations. Man, it will take a long time to earn the millions to buy 'em all. Would I even need to? Probably not, but completists will rejoice.
Endings are hit-and-miss. Most are very, very short. As usual, there are funny ones, serious ones, some WTF ones. A couple so far I've seen end with the apparent deaths of some of the characters... good thing they're surely non-canon. Playing a lot. Will play more during the weekend. So far, enjoying every minute. GET IT!!!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like cdripper.
cdripper must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could cdripper possibly have for not rating a single film?
