I know Bell from her work on Veronica Mara, in which she does a fantastic job playing a teen detective helping her father solve cases around the high school. The plot sounds so bad when you hear it like that, but Kristan Bell really plays her character so well in the show and in a way that you can tend to bypass some of the things in the show because of how well she acts. I then saw her progress onto Heroes, however I think Veronica Mars remains one of the best acting performances that she has had to this date. Overall, I would say that she is a terrific actress and I cant wait to see her act in some more projects in the very near future. Also cant wait to finish Veronica Mars - I hear her acting only gets better and better as the seasons go on.

I have seen her on Daybreak and on Journeyman and in the supporting role she seems really good and I wonder why she hasn't quite been bumped up to a star role yet. I thought her role in Daybreak was very important - as keeping her safe was often the main storyline of the show. Watching her die several times was interesting writing and really made me feel for her character. Her Journeyman stint was surrounded in mystery, which I think made her character fun to watch but also didnt let me really get to know her character all that much. Overall I would say she is ready for a mjor role sometime soon, though I guess some would call her recent roles "big"

I have only seen him on Journeyman but you always have to respect someone who comes into a major television role for the first time and is able to carry a show on his back. While the show is in dire straights for survival right now, I think that Kevin performed very well in the show and wish that I could see more of his work. His work in Journeyman has given me an incentive to go out and take a look at Rome, a show I hadnt really given a chance to before now. Overall, I would say Kevin is a prime example of someone you could look at to carry a major show on his back.

He prooved this in "Six Feet Under" prooving that he could be aggressive (yelling) and conservative (calm) in any scene that the writers asked him to do. I dont think he will ever have a role better then nate Fisher on Six Feet Under, but Im very excited to have him back on TV with Dirty Sexy Money. A show that I would likely not watch if it had anyone else in the main cast other then Peter Krause, he prooves he still has what it takes to be one of the best drama actors on television. His performance on Six Feet Under cnanot be mentioned enough in my review, it truly was one of the greatets acting performances of our time.

I know her from her role on Alias. The only thing that really mattered when it came to this role was making sure her and Michael Varten could pass off as husband and wife, which she did very well. The blockbuster episode that was Full Disclosure was pretty shocking too and I thought she did a very good job the entire second half of that season pretending to be good but ended up being bad. I think her looks were most of the reason why I liked her as much as I did, because in the end she wasnt used all that much to really get the 9.2 rating, but shes did a very good job with what the producers asked of her.

A 9 in my books is you do what you need to do but thats about it. There was nothing about his acting that had me all excited to see his character on screen. He was good enough for me to be interested in his characters primarly filler storyline. I thought his onscreen connection with Jenniefer was average at best and one of the main reasons the show opted not to move forward with them to being together in the long run. After Francie was killed off in Phase One I think is where his character took a big backseat to the show. He was sparingly used and when he was he wasnt doing much of anything then giving Sydney away. The actor himself is good, but nothing that would make me want to watch another television show with him in it.

Titanic - This was the first thing that I saw him in and even to this day I can still remember some of the things that he said in the movie just because he has that thing about him that makes you remember some of what he says, even if it is minor. He played a small role in the movie, but I thought this character was well suited for what he had to do.
Alias - Here is the highlight of his acting. I thought the nice litttle mix of action/adventure and then background sneaking around and plotting behind the rules was perfect for his character. He did what he had to do to protect his daughter, who was always priority number one anyways. I loved his on screen connetion with Ron Rifkin and Jennifer Gardner, two people that he always had to be clicking with on camera for the audiance to feel like they were inside of the television show. Overall, one of the best actors of all time I think.

One of the most complete characters devloped on Alias. I thought that his onscreen connection with Jennifer Gardner (Sydney) was one of the best connections in male-female television history and I think that went a long way into making this show last 105 episodes. Without that connection I think the show would have suffered very bad and I cant see anyone else other then Varten-Garder for those two roles.
I would have liked to see his character invovled a little more in the field, but that was never really his job unless he needed to be. I think he was a dominant factor in seasons 1-3, but then tailed off in seaosns 4 and 5 with mroe of a recurring apperance (even if he did star in 4 it felt like he was a little weaker in that season)
Overall, I think one of the main reasons I liked Alias was because of Michaels performance. Amazing job.

One of the best television villians of all time. I have never seen a person able to get in front of a camera and deliver a strong monolouge like Ron Rifkin can. He makes u look at his character and he makes us make a connection with him. My favorite Alias episode with Ron Rifkin in it has to be "In Dreams..." because it just showed how he was able to get into everyones hearts. I almost cried during that episode when he was in the dream state, which says a lot about the way he was able to portray his character. I wish his character would have stayed bad throughout the entire thing, but thats a pick at the wrtiers and not a pick at him directly. I think he is one of the best television villains of all time and I dont think I could see him playing a better role in the future then the role he played in Alias - hes the greatest Alias character of all time (other then sark. xDDD )

A lot of people will rank him up there as one of the Alias superstars, but for me he was one of the weakest of the main cast. I think it was the sicked back dreadlock look in the later seasons that got to me - but either way I wasnt a fan on his on screen performance with any of our main characters. The only memorable scene I remember him in was when Sydney was telling him about SD-6 being fake for the firts time, he did a really good job in that scene. But for me though - hes just simply average. Theres nothing there that stands out to me that I would ever want to go and watch a show because he is in it. I think he could have been easily replaced on the show and wish that he would have been killed off for shock value sometime.

I know her from her time on Alias, which was a great thing to watch her character have to go through. Spoilers for Alias follow for those of you who might want to click away from this before I get to into it. What they had her character do - play a hero and a villian in a blink of an eye was great. I loved the fact that it wasnt your classic good girl > bad girl, she was good right up until the end and then she turned bad with one of the most explosive episodes in Alias history. I thought her character was underused quite a bit in season 1 and would have liked to seen her and Will devolop something at the end of season 1 instead of having little to no scenes while they were "together" in season 2. When she came back as a guest star in seasons 4 and 5 I remembered why seaosns 1+2 of Alias were so amazing. I really missed her character once she left the show, but she left her mark while she was there.

I have never seen someone explode into greatness like Jennifer was able to do. She got her start on Alias for her first big television show, ran that out for 5 years doing an amazing job along the way AND managed to get herself into the news with Ben Affleck AND into a half a dozen movies. Jennifer Gardner is everything that you could ever want in a television star. Shes got the body and the ability to translate things for the viewers when we need things to be dummied down for us. I didnt think I would ever watch an Action-Adventure / Drama show that had a female lead, but Jennifer Gardner has showed me exactly why I should give every show a chance. Her performance on Alias will go down as likely one of the greatest no-name > superstar performances in movie AND televsion history.

While his character was more of a background, comimcal relief from the tense episode kind of guy - I still loved seeing him go out on the occasional mission. I thought that the acting done by Kevin is almost emmy worthy, though I dont remember much of anything when Alias was on the air itslef, I watched them all on DVD. I dont think Kevin is ever the kind of guy that could lead a series to success, but his performance in Alias will likely be the best of his entire carrer.

It seems that every show Greg gets involved in he manages to land in that filler role, just one spot away from being the leader of the show. I know him from Alias - where his character Eric Weiss was the behind the scenes kind of guy when it came to going on missions. He would get up and go eveyr now and again, but for the most part he was the backgroudn character. Season 4 was his best season on that show, devoloping a relationship with Ron Rifkins on screen daugher.
I also know him from Heroes, where even though he is consider apart of the main cast I still dont view him as being a lockdown for the series. Peter, Claire, Bennet, Hrio, Sylar - these are the stars of Heroes and I wish that Greg Gunberg could get a role where he is the leader of the show. He has the talen and has stayed in the background for far too long. Right now he is on season 2 of Heroes and Ill continue to enjoy watching him while he plays his mini part in the series.

Jean Smart has the benefit of being on the greatest season of 24 that the show has ever had. I think her acting in the show was so far above average that I think she should have won the emmy that year for what she brought to the table. David Palmer and Sherry Palmer always had some intense scenes, but Martha and Charles had the greatest on screen connection of anyone in the history of the show - including every character that has been on the show. Jean was given a very tough character to play as she suffered from several dieseases and she had to act through all of them throughout the duration of her time on the show. I thought her performance in the finale was where the season is summed up best. As she tapes her conversation with her husband, it was just an amazing scene and those two made it worth every viewers time to stay glued to 24 after a rough season 4.

I think that Penny is one of the greatest actresses in all of Hollywood and no one really gives her the props she desevres for being able to handle so many differnet roles and execute them in a way that makes you tie into her character so well. There is a reason she was given her own scenes in season 3, she acts very well and can hold up an 8 minute scene without Keifer and not have the fans lose interest in the show. Obviously the performance from Penny on 24 was her best acting so far...going from the supportive wife in season 1 to being a different person (called a "shark") on the show in seasons 2 and 3 when she was called upon by her husband. Killing her off the show was a good idea as it wrapped up the season 1-2-3 trilogy that the show was establishing early on. I think Penny is a tremendous actress and 24 was lucky to have casted that role so well.

I tend to auto-assume that a man has to play the role of a villian, but no one played her part better in her role as Nina Myers did. Keifer can be too overdramatic at times, but Sarah always had this intensity, this feeling that she really was a terrorist that made me scared just to watch her look into the character. I thought she was a good person on the show way too long, I thought the season 1 shocker was indeed that - would have liked to see her play bad half of that season. Her performance is shown by her recurring roles in the show in seasons 2 and 3, with the writers having no fear bringing back things from seasons past.

I think one of the only reasons I really was interested in her character on 24 was because of the way she looks. I thought the writers of the show really let down her character - which can be said for a lot of people who came onto the show in the shows fourth season. I thought her acting was a little too much - reminding me of a girl in high school who tends to blow things way out of proportion. I thought her acting could have been better fine tuned for her character - which was basically to be suck up to Erin. She didnt really have the aura of that part coming off as the good girl.
Her role in LOST was tiny and she wont be heard of again, but it was fun to see someone and not rememeber where you knew them from. Says a lot about her ability to win over an audiance.

Another fine example showing how someone can step into a powerful role and make it their own regardless of what the script may tell them that they have to say. I think Xander is one of the best actors on 24 when it came to showing his emotions with hand gestures. Caughing and pretending to be infected with Radiation was a tough job for someone who obviously is suffering from no such think but Xander reached into the soul of his character and pulled off a great performace. I thought his death episode was one of the greatets episodes of all time and I loved the way he pulled everything together with his acting right until the very end. George Mason joins the very big list of amazing actors who I would love to see back on the show, but can't.

We were all looking for someone to take over the job that had been taken away from Tony Almedia once season 4 began and when Erin Driscoll failed to provide any sort of entertainment I thought that James stepped up to play the role of Bill Buchannan to perfection in every single way. I loved all of his scenes at CTU when Jack was in the field and thought his onscreen connection with Keifer was very good. He had a way about presenting himself as aggressive when he needed to be and passive when he needed to be. Part of that could be given to the writer crew for that, but the actor still has to make it all come to life and James did it better then a lot of CTU directors. Looking back, Erin is the only flat fall that simply didnt work out.

I only know Sarah for her job on the second season of 24 and I must say that she was the highlight of most of the second season for me. 24 always has a tough time finding storyliens that dont revolve around Jack Bauer to follow. Kate Warner (played by Sarah) had a lot of interesting devolopments to her character and her onscreen connection with Keifer Sutherland was just about as good as you could have hoped for. Sarah is a one-hit wonder on the show that we all wish that we could have back, so was a great addition to the cast in a very important second season of 24. I thought the best thing she did was her ability to portray confusion on the set. Everything shouldnt be easily understood by something that wasnt going on and Sarah did a great job in portraying a simple confusion look every now and again.

I selected "Should Have Been A Bigger Star" only because it wasnt D.B. Woodsides fault that the writing of the entire season didnt pull through like it had done for his brother David Palmer in the previous season. Instead of the writing getting better as the seaosn began to devolop, it stayed pretty bad throughout the entire season and it comes off as D.B. Woodside being the main reason for that. His acting was not the bad part, it was simply the writing.
Either way - he had a very powerful role and he simply wasnt able to pull together and look like a man that should be leading our country. He came off as weak and pathetic in some episodes, which is not what you want from the man who is representing your country on television. He did a good job, but the president role was a little too much for him. Hes a supporter, not a leader.

Anyone that came into the sixth season of 24 and isnt going to be given a chance to show themselves again on the seventh season of 24 is pretty much going to be given a bad review at this point. Some one hit wonders came and did what they were supposed to do - but most ended the show with nothing but a face that will always be connected to the worst season of 24 ever.
Carlos didnt leave a very powerful effect on the viewers, simply because he did not come off as the CTU type in the long run. He comes off as a field agent that is sitting behind the desk, which doesnt make it very easy for his character. I also didnt think that his onscreen connection with his wife, Chloe, was very good either.

I select the classification only because I think that the show Numb3rs doesnt use him nearly enough as they should and one day I could see myself watching a new show simply because Peter is in it. I know Peter from "Numb3rs" and "24", so I will review each of his acting performances seperatly.
Numb3rs- Its going to be the peak and highlight of his life. He plays this part to such perfection, both as a math professor and as a mentor to Charlie. So many times it is things that Peters character says that finnaly brings Charlie to the conclusion that he was looking for. Peter works wonders with the things he has to say in this show, mimicking Hugh Lauries performance in House, just with numbers in this show.
24- Not the bets fit, but still a decent one. Most of the scenes with Peters character consulting the president I felt that he did a good job on, but the torture scenes during one part of the season I thought he did simply an average job. Numb3rs is his calling card, but 24 was a decent performance.
Numb3rs - 10/10
24 - 9.2 / 10
