I professed that encountering a real, live, National Socialist (Nazi is the accepted acronym) in 2005 online was an unusual experience for most of us, hence the dwelling on same. There's a big difference between heedless teens being mean anonymously online, and someone who rattles off phrases like "regular white man" vs. "dirty stinking Iraqi." I goaded the poster to get him to hang himself higher in insults, and to get others besides our former "Lost" core to chime in in horror at this guy. Which they did. Mission accomplished.

I don't bother there anymore either, unless I see an unusual (for them) topic, a poster I know, or a sincere question from someone, which I'll answer. I occasionally open threads to see if there are any more sufferers there who might appreciate another site where people spell correctly...

And you are of course correct. They even jumped on DiamondDog, a 16 year old girl with an advanced sense of humour (I found her on the Monty Python forum, urged her to "Lost," and of course now regret same.

I will occasionally read posts here in Doodyland.It's a shame to encounter such hate in a forum about a TV show for Gods sake.
Other than blogging I gave up the notion of ever posting here again.
I give Fastfilm a lot of credit because I knew what she was aiming for in her replies and the A-hole went for the bait.That gave me some satisfaction because FF amuses me,but it's sad to know there really are people who just don't get it and never will.
As Jennifer Aniston said about Brad Pitt,they are just missing a sensitivity chip. In case of our poster there were a lot of chips missing. A scary,chipless world out there.

I'll put it to horatio about DiamondDog. She doesn't seem to be "suffering" in the milieu of her text-messaging-spelling peers, and perhaps even enjoys being a smart big fish in an ever decreasing small pond of stoopids.
