Hi everyone, guess what arrived today, after one week waiting for it? Uncharted 2. 
It's been a while since I purchased a new game after being a few days out. The last time was with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare when I bought my PS3, it cost me 60 Euros. Games here aren't cheap and I prefer buying them online: Example: a new sealed game costs around 70 Euros, and that's too much in my opinion. When I was in the Army, I didn't had a problem in buying a game for such price but now times are different... I simply can't buy a new game for 70 Euros. Blame the world crisis perhaps...
That's why I buy them online and/or wait for a price drop. I got Uncharted 2 for 50 Euros. After a very boring weekend hunting pigeons in GTA: IV, I decided to go outside and buy a new game, I couldn't wait for Uncharted 2 . I found Resistance 2 for 29.89 Euros. It was a game that I was looking forward to buy but I didn't had the chance, until I saw it on the shelf. I think I'm going to wait until Christmas for a new game because these two will keep me busy for a very long time. What a timing, Modern Warfare 2 is almost here...oh well. 
What about you? Do you buy games at full price or do you buy them online and/or wait for a price drop? Happy gaming.

I buy games from the store if they have it there, if not, my dad orders them for me online.

Only time I buy games for $60 is when it's a game that I really want, and that's normally on launch. Other times, I either get them for cheap, or rent them.

I don't buy games online, but I will buy used games at my local Gamestop. And yes, I ususally do pay full $60 U.S. when a game comes out.

Nowadays I always wait for a price drop. I only buy them online if theres a significant advantage, if not and I it on the store, I buy it there.

Awesome! Uncharted 2 is mind-blowing, and Resistance 2 is more or less better than the first. We'll have to play sometime - the treaty of 1373 tells us to

Great deal on Resistance 2! I've wanted to buy that game for a while now, but here in the states it still is the same price it was when it released ($60) which is unfortunate, because I had a lot of fun playing the campaign during the time when I rented the game. How is the multiplayer?

i wait for the price to drop atleast twice or even thrice before i buy a game . usually go upto about Rs.1500 (ie approx 30$) if the game is good

I buy them online. CDWOW.com is great. Games at the launch are £39.99 when at the stores they cost 70 euros.

Exactly the same but I have a promise I always keep. Sometimes if I find a "meh" game for a great price, I'll still hold out for it even if it's in the sale, and then if and when it goes back up to full price. I refuse to pay that full price even if I have to wait years for it to go back down to the previous sale price. But generally speaking I've only bought three games right off teh bat: Haze (which i regret), Batman AA and Uncharted 2.

Some games I have to get at launch. Others I wait and look for bargains, I also use the game trading site goozex and that saves me a ton of dough. Right now I'm waiting my turn for Borderlands, Forza 3, Dirt 2 and Tekken 6 to become available. I'll be buying MW 2 upon release.

I almost always wait for a price drop or some kind of sale. The exceptions are games I just can't wait to play, but those are rare.

Congrats on getting the games, as for your question I buy them at full price. But I mean if I could find them for cheaper then I would jump on getting the cheaper deal.

Uncharted is one of the few games that make me want a PS3. That, and it's still the cheaper Blu-Ray option.

I pay full price for games like Madden and Fight Night and maybe NBA titles. I may pay full price for the new Assassin's Creed. I gotta have it. Other than these, I mostly wait for a little price drop.

I pretty much pay full price for all games from Naughty Dog or Insomniac cause they're awesome. I'll also pay full price for any game I'm anticipating from the time it's announced. Otherwise, I hunt for great prices.

A lot of the time I wait for a drop. I avoid buying new games from one of the dedicated stores because they're $20 more expensive than getting them from a superstore.

I didn't know Resistance 2 was a platinum hit. I should go look for it. And I've wanted Uncharted 2 for quite a while now.

Yeah games are very expensive in Europe and it is not easy for gamers to buy tons of games. Here all games are pirated, so they are very cheap. I have always guilty feeling when I buy a game for like 5 Euros or something because I know game making is an expensive proccess and it is unfair to pay such a low price for a game which entertains me for a month or two.
I would have loved to play Uncharted. I will buy a game on release day if I really want it (e.g. Modern Warfare 2), however, sometimes I just feel like a new game and will just pick one up. Regardless of price.

Resistance 2 is awsome online , Uncharted 2 is fun like the first one.
About game prices, i know what you mean or we wouldnt live in same country, thats why i ask my cousin to send me from UK, they seem to be lot cheaper there, Killzone 2 i got it for like 39,99 £ when here it costed still 69 euros.

I normally wait for them to go cheaper. I bought Uncharted 2 full price the other day. The last full price purchase was Oblivion

I only buy exceptional games at full price.. Uncharted 2 for instance. But it's pretty rare for me to buy a game, much less at launch.

I used to buy all my games in stores because, frankly, i didn't have the patience to wait for them to arrive through mail. Due to the difficult times we're going through, this has changed. Now i buy most my games in the internet, where they're a lot cheaper.

Very rarely do I purchase games for full price. I have patience to wait and get it for a lower price later on after all the hype has died down. Some games (usually limited boxed editions like Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2) I trade my older games in towards it and then get it for a much lower price or sometimes even with no cash down!
