The list is officially at 227 games now. Recently I finished:
1. Gears of War (insane difficulty)
2. Army of Two (Professional difficulty)
3. Rainbow Six Vegas (Realistic difficulty)
4. Hexic HD (completed a game by cluster)
5. Shenmue 2 (love this game, and fangmei)
6. The Club (for what it's worth)
7. Phantom Dust (will miss this game like a good book)
8. Jade Empire (took open hand path in life)
9. Marvel Ultimate Alliance (love the xpansion pack, better than PS3)
I can't quite decide which shooter was most difficult. Gears and RS6 vegas were difficult on their hardest difficulty. I think I died on the lambent wretches over 25 times in one part, and on Raam, so I think gears was more difficult, or at least more frustratingly difficult. RS6 realistic was challenging, but I actually enjoyed the challenge, where gears was somewhat more frustrating. So I'd say RS6 Vegas leaves me with more hunger to continue playing it over and over. And I'm not even a fan of FPS, I like 3rd person, but RS6 Vegas convinced me the FPS has merit!
I can't say enough of phantom dust. I played it slowly over months and really savoured it. A few of the bosses were great and very challenging. The last boss was a PITA.
Shenmue 2 left me sad that this game may never see it's ending. This is the only game I've played that kept you playing just to see the storyline.
The Club is great for multiplayer, and the skill online is amazing. I suck compared to these guys. Lots of room for improvement.
Jade Empire is an amazing game in terms of story depth. I liked it, certainly, and would like to see more from the developer, but it's not a game that would appeal to everyone. If you play it, choose the challenging difficulty. Much better experience.
