It's shocking to me that Megan Standish isn't better known in Hollywood. Well, maybe not. She has too much substance to be appreciated in a world that dotes on those talentless, fake-titted floozies.
Her portrayal of the Lola von Didier de Champignon was exquisite, a heart-breaking rendering of a widely misunderstood character. LDC is a multi-dimesional role that speaks to our ids as well as our superegos. In the pilot episode, this inner struggle was subtly yet masterfully evinced by MS. No one else could pull off such a Dostoevskyian portrayal of the struggle between the private and public faces of a character.
Masterful.
