Whenever it seems you take care of your games, some friend comes over and brakes everything. Allowing somebody to borrow a game disc will no doubt come back scratched or with a ripped booklet, wet booklet, lost case, etc. But what happened recently was an alcoholic spiller that spilled alcohol all over my Oblivion booklet from the special edition... too bad it wasn't the french one. I didn't really care much though. What was annoying was that they were using one of my x-box controllers and they used those same fingers or dirty hands and gummed up all the buttons.
There is a fix though! You have to take the whole controller apart and clean it. I had a mini tool set from when I took my laptop apart so it was easy enough. The best strategy after cleaning with a bit of soap is using a Q-tip to dry it. Worked for me.
And so now my controller is fixed, minus a hole through a sticker which was covering the last hidden screw.
I think the X-Box 360 is a great console, and I like how I will soon be able to play many of the arcade games I have already purchased from Live on my computer. I don't think the PS3 is doomed... it just needs some good news for a change to help it out of the bad days. The line-up is looking better, the visuals are all great, arcade downloads are improving along with PS1 games on download service. Many more things are looking bright for the PS3 such as their new website, and their less cocky attitude towards developers.
Having rumble come back will be awesome. It's a major reason I didn't buy it... other than its outrageous price. But anyways, a Wii is still closer than a PS3.
