Entertainment Weekly reported that there are two deaths in Smallville finale in May, and that one of the deaths is a fairly new character and the other is a Smallville vet. Both these characters are main characters. Weighing the options, main characters can range from all people who have had regular status on the series, so it cant be Whitney who died in Season Two, it cant be Lionel who died in Season Seven, it cant be Jonathan who died in Season Five, and it cant be Jason who died in Season Four. Now the characters left are Clark, Lana, Lex, Chloe, Jimmy, Lois, Davis, Tess, Oliver, and Martha. So here is what i think.

Clark- There is absolutley no chance that he will die. The show has a 9th season and the show can not go on with no Clark. There is a 0% chance that Clark will die.

Lex- Again, the show can not exist without Lex, and with Michael Rosenbaum not being on the show the presence of Lex is shown through Tess and Lex has no chance of dying. There is a 0% chance of Lex dying.

Lana- Kristin Kreuk signed on for five episodes this season and i believe that they will be her last. There is absolutley no way she is going to come back to Smallville in my eyes. But she might. I could see the death of Lana. If she returns for the Season Finale in May, i think that she will die. But without that i think there is a 10% chance of her death.

Jimmy, Oliver and Lois- I packed these three together because they will all have the exact same reason to stay. They are in the comics and still are. Jimmy is the photographer for the Dailey Planet, Lois hasn't become huge yet as a journalist, nor has she dated Clark yet, and Oliver is part of the Justice League and he has to stay. They each have, in my opinion, a 0% chance of dying.

Tess- The eyes and ears of Lex, and the connection to Lex and LuthorCorp that she has that she is very likely to stay as she has a contract with the show for the 9th season. But i think that her arc could very well be over and Lex, for sort of betraying her, he could definitely get her killed. So i think that she has a 25% chance of dying.

Davis- Doomsday. The way the season was set up, i think that Davis's arc has to come to an end, as it was going to at the end of the season, which was most likely visualized as the end of the series. I think that his arc is going to come to an end at the end of the season, but he may return next year as a recurring character. But i think that he has a 75% chance of dying in the finale.

Martha- Annette O'Toole has not come to the show since her departure in the 6th season finale, and i wish in a way that she returns to way for two reasons. If she returns it would be a good way to show what the character has been up to in the last couple of years. I also want her to return to die, so that the vet killed is not Chloe, who i think it will be. I think that Martha has a 5% chance of dying.

Chloe- Chloe is my favorite character on the series and i really dont want her to die. But the way that the show looks like it is going to turn out i can only see her death. With Doomsday being the only one to kill Superman and during the fight in the finale that i view is coming, Clark will be killed by Davis and i think that Chloe is going to heal him, and in the process, but saving him, she is going to die permanently. I dont want this to happen, but its what i think, despite that she apparently has a contract for the next season. I think Chloe has a 90% chance of dying.
