What's up!! For those of you who took the time to provide me with your insight on the issue i'm about to take up...many thanks!! You've earned the coveted Buckybuckster 1up! It's been harder than I thought it would be to get any intelligent discorse on the issues I feel should be important to us as gamers, because I feel that they directly effect us as gamers. And as i've stated in the B.A.R.D. vol. 1, you all truly help me to honestly come to grips with my own views by sharing yours with me.

Well what's bothering Bucky this time? It wasn't planned as the second topic of my blog, but after viewing many of the comments posted within the System Wars threads, I could not hold my tongue any longer.

Is it just me, or is System Wars the biggest waste of server space here on Gamespot??? Even when there's a legit topic for discussion, things quickly deteriorate into name calling, intelligence insulting, and system ABC will own system XYZ elitism. It amazes me that people think it's somehow clever or cool to either joke some one because of the system they want or own, or wish for that systems demise, usually justifying their rants with their personal opinions desguised as fact.

"The PS3 is going to outsell the 360 by millions!!" Uh, how do you know this to be true?? Do you think that your declaration rings true just because you and a few other of your clueless friends wish it to be true? There are still many unanswered PS3 questions, such as price, left to be determined. Guess what? NOBODY knows how well it's going to sell until it actually GOES ON SALE!!"

"The 360 is going to have the best games!!!" So i'm sure you've played some of the PS3 and Wii games to make such an informed assessment? Oh excuse my ignorance, i'm sure you have. Clue me in on how you have access to games that haven't seen the light of day on any store shelf!!

" The Wii's controller is the stupidest controller ever!!!" Bucky's question to you is..have you held it in your hand yet?? Have you played any games designed to take advantage of it's uniqueness?? It could be Nintendo's best design choice ever made!!

I'm sorry people but i'm stymied by this rhetoric. Why is so much wasted effort put forth in wishing for the death of any system? Maybe Bucky didn't get the memo, but I thought that choice was a good thing. If the 360 fails, PS3 and Wii owners will lose. If the PS3 fails, 360 and Wii owners will lose. Same goes for the non-owners of a unsuccessful Wii.

Listen up, lack of choice hurts ALL of us no matter what system you favor. Choice promotes variety and innovation within the industry. The failure of a capable well designed system does not. Stagnation and repetitiveness are the signposts marking the road down that scenario.

If you still want to advocate the death of a system you don't care for (hmmm..maybe it's system envy, you can't afford to own more than one system, so you trash the ones you can't...very mature of you), be my guest. Congratulations, you've earned the BuckyBuckster "Great Big Steaming Pile of Poo" award. But in the end I feel sorry for you. For in the end ,you in your ignorance, will never fully understand what you stand to lose. And you may just end up getting what you hope for. Buckster out.....
