I'm not some angry fanboy that's getting all worked up. I honestly don't care about either franchises and I am writing this on behalf of gaming as a whole.
I've been reading a lot of reviews saying Saint's Row 2 is better than GTA4, I've played both(Saint's Row 2 I played at a friends house) and I'm really surprised that gaming's biggest flaws have come down to gamers and that we're the problem for the lack of orginality out in the market today.
Saint's Row 2 has no depth and ends up feeling like a shallow, but fun, kiddie ride that I ended up feeling mocked by because I found dumping sewage on civilians was fun, I don't feel like graphics are important, but it's just a slightly updated version of the last game, and this game lacks any sort of innovation made me feel sick. I always ended up feeling like one of those people that own a car and decide to make it white with gold emblems, the games sense of style was from one of MTV's "wannabe" shows.
But, to top it all of hearing people say,"Flying airplanes is funner than doing one of the missions from GTA4, so Saint's Row 2 is a better game," shows to me(or anybody) how big of a chance BioShock was and why some people think Shoot em' Up was better than The Departed, innovation dosen't matter, the fun factor does.
