I first saw Ashton Kutcher as Michael Kelso in That 70's show. At first I thought he was as dumb as he looked. Comparing his roles in That 70's Show (1998) and The Butterfly Effect (2004) made me think again.

I first saw Ashton Kutcher as Michael Kelso in That 70's show. At first I thought he was as dumb as he looked. Comparing his roles in That 70's Show (1998) and The Butterfly Effect (2004) made me think again.


That 70's Show is a comedy show about a group teenagers living in the 1970's.
Michael Kelso (Kutcher) is this stupid who spends most of his time at his friend's basement. They deal with daily teenage problems, smoke pot and joke around. Almost hilarious.


The Butterfly Effect is movie about Evan Treborn (Kutcher) who blacks out certain memories of significant events of his life. When he grows up he finds a way to remember these lost memories and also a supernatural way to go back and change them. As he's changing these memories he's also erasing the life that he lived and and therefore wakes up somewhere totally different from where he went back in time.
This is not a comedy and he plays his role so good that I totally forget that he has ever been in That 70's Show. Amazing.

Besides beeing movies where everything ends well and he loves her and she loves him I also liked A Lot Like Love (2005) and Guess Who (2005).

Dude, Where's My Car? (2000) had it's fun parts but it was Michel Kelso's face I saw all through the movie.
