I've long thought SW wasn't as good as used to be. Everyone says this about many things, the Simpsons, the weather, kids behaviour, whatever.
However, today SW was struck a blow, perhaps a mortal one. We've been bleeding many of the better and more entertaining posters (these don't always go hand in hand) for a long time due to bannings, but today we lost the King. Yup Blackbond got banned.
Now love him or hate, and yes many hated him, Blackbond was an entertainer. Often funny, usually informative, Blackbond's posts were guaranteed to attract a crowd as he and his ego took on all comers.
If the ban is permanent SW lost one of its all-time greats today. Sorry to see you go Blackbond, both for SW and personally.

If thats what it was Locke I really can't see how thats possible? Every post on SW should be modded if thats the case.

IMO, the MODs had a vendetta against KB.
Plus, I'm sure his numerous moderations didn't help either. I'm actually surprised I haven't been banned yet.

Dang man. A System Wars without Blackbond... wtf? It seems that a ban is eventually going to happen to everyone. It's nuts.

He got Banned for that???? I think ur wrong man cause that pretty much would make like no sense at all... no wait a minute that does make sense then for SW lol
But yeah I think whichever mod did it maybe didn't read what he was responding to and his notorious part of his post wasn't him calling the guy that but quoting what was said to him

I know this does suck.....Blackbond usually kept a good bunch of the "not so bright people" on SW in line....hm......

While GameSpot does have its fair share of odd rules, Bond wasn't banned simply because of any one post. Short of a porn-suicide, it's impossible to get banned for a single offense. From what I've seen, whenever a "suspicious" ban occurs, there's a lot going on behind the scenes that we're unaware of... be it in PM, AtM, or elsewhere.

That said, it's always sad to see someone go. I was never a fan of Bond's sty1e, but losing high-level posters is always a loss for GameSpot. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours, and those of us who knew him will surely keep in touch outside of GS.

I cant believe BB is gone... I used to disagree with him a lot but he was like... One of my favorite SW posters either way, I used to send PMs to him every now and then.

it's very unfortunate but just keep in mind that moderations are cumulative. unless it's something horrible, you don't get banned for one thing.

Yup. The fall of BlackBond is an unexpected (well, not that much) tragedy for SW.
He was an excellent poster, and one of the best debaters out there. it's really a big shame.

No he wasn't banned for one thing.... one thing that is very very wrong. But many things very very wrong lol I've seen alot of posts he put up of ALOT of his moderations and wow are they laughable at best.
So not it wasn't one post but rather many moderations that were just wrong. I won't go into why they were wrong cause I think think this one example serves as an outline to sum pretty much all of it...
Sad but then again this site is now a joke and I would be generous to say it is now 1/10 what it use to be really

I agree Casey, its just unfortunate that hes gone. SW is a lesser place without him.

That's considered flaming if I'm not mistaken and I do remember he recieved a "Final warning" a while ago. (remember the Too Human sticky?)
I think many people in SW were waiting for the day that BB made a small mistake like that, and lost of people got angry over his last thread about the Ps3/360 price comparison.
That said...sad to see him go. One of the best posters in SW imo, crazy that all the good posters get a ban eventualy. Always-Honest is another example..and Dreams-Visions...sad times indeed

Allright, I misread....ignore that comment. Don't be upset about that.
My other point stands, he had a final warning and that entire thread he made could be considered trolling aka. "attending to annoy other users". I think he got loads of trolling reports over that thread, just read through the comments people made after he was banned.

Quite depressing indeed. A few notable SystemWars goers have been banned lately, Dreams, thrones, blackbond ect. I'm surprised I'm still here.
