I finally got my 360 back. The whole process took from August 10th til September 18th. Felt like forever. I'm pretty sure I got a refurb too. It had a manufactured date of April 28, 2006. The only real difference I can tell is that it doesn't seem to be as loud as my old one. Guess that's a plus. So for any of you that are going through this or will, that is about 5 1/2 weeks. That's from the time I called to the time I got it back. Like I said previously, I was told by customer support that they can not keep your 360 longer than 3 weeks at the service center. That does not include all the time it is in transit. Well, I hope this information can help just one person from being aggrevated like I was. Just be persistent in calling and it will take less time. Good luck, 'tonix.

Well, I finally stopped procastinating and waiting and called customer support at XBOX. They asked if I talked to Max. I said yeah I did. Then, I asked him if they could tell me what was taking my 360 so long to come back. He put me hold a few times, checking things. The last time it was for about 35 minutes. He said he had to check his resources, so he could tell me what was going on. When he came back he said that they were only allowed to keep the consoles for 4 weeks, not including the time that it is in transit. I thought that was a good piece of information to have. He said that they will be shipping it back by Tuesday of next week and to call on Friday to check and see. I thought he was pretty helpful. I didn't have to get angry or be harsh. He just did what any person doing their job should do. For that, I thank Ben. He helped me restore my faith in Microsoft a little today. Anyone with a red ring of death, be advised that they can only keep your console for 4 weeks. If it takes any longer than that make sure you call. Hope that helps some of you in the same situation as me.

I am really tired of waiting for my 360. Customer support told me the first time I called that it would take 3-4 business weeks to get mt 360 back and it has been 5. I guess I might be impatient, but why do they tell you that instead of being truthful, by saying we have no idea. I want to play Bioshock and Two Worlds(eventhough everyone thinks it sucks). I also am paying for Gamefly that I can't even use, because I don't have my damn console. I am bored and I am tired of being on the computer and playing games on my DS. I gota flat screen HD LCD TV that I am paying for that I want to be playing a game on, not just watching reruns and reality TV, you know? When will I get my damn 360 back, Microsoft? I don't know how many people are having this same problem, but why can't they just send me a new one and take their time repairing all the returned, malfunctioning ones later. You know, keep the customer happy? I hope I have mine back before Beautiful Katamari comes out. Hell, I hope it is way before then. It better be.........

Some people just don't have opinions. Like bluclwd.
bluclwd must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could bluclwd possibly have for not rating a single film?
