I think microsoft should let their fans trade in their run down xbox 360 for the new shiny one. OR at least give us a 120GB HD!!! lol.

i have to disagree with you guys ... politly of course . while i can see why people may be a little up set the xbox was released what 2 years ago. M$ is just tryn to improve there system and keep up with sony. and its not even like the new 360 is the same price its iir 70+ more &. for just the better conection for HD users "wich shoulda been in the first versin of 360 " and a larger HD. console makers have done this before and if you think the this is bad try the PC side of things lol. at least thay are not forceing you to buy it or the HDDVD player by releaseing games that require the new stuff to play futer games. you can always sell your old syystem and buy the new one if thats your thing. or just buy the bigger HD if you need it and paint you system black lol. As far as feeling the first 360's are now a rip off i just cant agree. the only people i i think should be mad is the people who just bought a 360 like say for Xmas who would have liked to pay the extra mony for this new one. just like buying a new car. you go out now and buy a ne car and in 6 mounths thay release a new moddle with better looks and a faster moter. what pi$$'s me off is not 2 months ago EGM did a interveiw with M$ head a**hole and flat out asked about the rumors of a new version of the 360 with the same features as this new one has and the di**head danced aond the qustion. i knew right then something was up. what it was thay wanted to keep it hush hush as long as thay could so thay could sell of the old stock.

Suppoee your kinda right...But MS are thinking of offering loyal 360 owners a free upgrade to the Elite...they say they will have a descision made on that by the time it launches next month...28 or 29th of April I think.

well realy only two resons i can think of to get the new vesion if you already have one is #1 because you need the extra HD space and can sell your current for a good price "hard to do as new 360s are readly availble" or that you have a pricey HDtv 1080p and want the new out puts. i have yet to get the 360 as im scared because of its realy bad rep for hardwear failures and i cant afford to drop 400+ on a system plus another 500+ for a HDtv and have the system go belly up as so many have. i figure im just as well off to put that 1k$ or so into building a new PCrig ....... though vista makes that a pain lol. i think maby thay shoulda waited till they have a new cooler running chip set made.

Grungehead, basically, a long time ago, Sarge wanted to opress everyone's freedom of speech to the point where they weren't allowed to say "Merry Christmas" to one another at the Union. A big argument ensued and it ended with him leaving...That's pretty much it...

Right now the argument is because I made a suggestion that a documentary can't be a work of fiction. Apparently this is "throwing self righteousness" at someone.

Essentially, what the debate is about now, is us disagreeing over the definition of a word. Whilst I would have been happy to leave it at two comments (Me saying it, Sarge disagreeing), he felt it necessary, in his apparent maturity, to leave a derogitory comment on one of my posts...But I'm sure that's the act of a 18-19 year old.

Here are the facts of the situation, Sarge, in case you're tempted to skew or distort them:

1. I disagree that a documentary can be fictional. However, if you go by the definition that they can be, fair enough.

2. You left an unfounded derogitory comment on one of my posts.

3. You insulted my religious beliefs, which is shameful. You don't see me calling you a bible-bashing protestant, do you? That's because I have no issue with your beliefs, I'm sure you have justification for your's as I have for mine. Leave it there.

4. At no point have I "judged your work", merely disputed what it's been entitled. Art is almost entirely subjective, and I'm in no position to judge it objectively. Sure, I looked at another couple of your videos and didn't like them, but there's no reason that should annoy you or make me "self righteous", it's just my opinion.

Those are the facts of this ridiculous and over-blown situation. There's no other reason to continue this discussion, because it's just going to end in you making meaningless and irrelevant personal insults, and since I can't take that kind of thing up with you in person, let's leave it there.

If you don't like it because someone's not agreeing with you and you're not getting your way, get over it.

See, I do not keep christmas and thus hate it how every year people say "merry christmas" and shove it down my throat. If I were to shove my beliefs down yours (like you were mislead that I do infact do) you would / do not like it. That said, I had decided it might be better for the union if we were to make the union religiously nuetral because I could see the problem only getting worse for I'll not sit by and let myself get insulted by blackadder because I don't believe what he does. So, I brought it up to adder, and he agreed that it would be for the best. After about three weeks of waiting, I asked him what was going on, for he had not announced it like he said he would. He then told me he wasn't going to, and never said he was. A liar, basically, just like he just lied about me right there. Pathetic really. You could ask a few people here on gamespot who were officers at the time and that knew what was going on, but one got too busy with his work, and one was mysteriously banned from gamespot... I do, however, have his email adress, and you can ask him if what adder said is true, and he'll probably say no. But then you probably wouldn't believe him, just like you are likely shaking your head at this post right now, while reading it. Sad, really, since this is the truth but you won't think so. 1. A Union member saying "Merry Christmas" to another is not shoving their beliefs down your throat, it's them following what either they believe, or what they are accustomed to doing. If they say "Merry Christmas" to you, just say "Sorry, I don't believe in Christmas." They're not telling you anything, or claiming any kind of right over you, therefore ARE NOT opressing you, they're just trying to be polite... Something you're apparently incapable of, since despite me asking you, you continue to insult my religious beliefs, when I'm refraining from doing the same

You follow the Bible letter by letter (I could at this point launch into a torrent of abuse about what I think about that, but I wont play the same way you do) that makes you a Christian and a protestant, since you're using the Christian adaptation of the Bible, but not following the Catholic Church. Yes, I never denied that I said I would make the Union religiously neutral, I did however change my mind. It was perhaps unfair of me to say I would, then not, but I decided against giving people the freedom to say what they like.

What you are doing is saying that it offends you when people say "Merry Christmas" to eachother, founded only on the basis that YOU think they're "shoving it down your throat". Well what you, as a single individual, think isn't as important as what other people's intentions are. They're saying it to be polite, all you have to say is you don't believe in the celebration of Christmas, and THEN if someone says "You're an idiot", THAT would be shoving it down your throat...And if they did that they'd be breaking TOS, so they'd be moderated anyway.

Saying "Merry Christmas" is part of our culture. It's used now not just for religious beliefs, but as part of our culture. Its used as a GREETING and a compliment, not as an oppresive insult. And I agree with adder, saying "Sorry, I dont believe in Christmas" would have been more appropriate. And if you have such a distaste in Adder, why not just leave him alone, and ignore him, rather than start silly arguements with him all the time???

However, I am no protestant, and at the risk of being hunted, I will say that I keep the Feast of Tabernacles, day of Atonement, Passover, Days of Unleavened Bread, day of Trumpets, and the sabbath on it's correct day, Satrday. I think you will be able to buy just the 120gb hard drive. I'm not sure if there is a way to transfer the files from on hard drive to another. For movie downloads you can buy an external usb hard drive and plug it into your 360. You will be able to access the downloads on your 360 and not use up your 360's hard drive.

Foolishfishstix, there will be a way to transfer stuff from one hard drive to another, the 120 gig hard drive comes with a transfer cable (or so I heard)

depending on where you bought it from, you CAN trade your original 360 for the elite...but you have to pay the difference.
you can just have "something wrong" with your 360 and then upgrade it to the elite...
but again it depends on where you bought it...because some places aren't as strict on there return policies
