It all started in 2005, I remember it like a bad dream. it was january.I was at work, stocking the shelves (wow... life really sucked back then) when my brother texted me the horrible horrible horrible news- 2K Sports had signed a7 year exclusive rights contract with the MLB. i was floored. no more MVP baseball, THE only reason i had to live back then. there have been very few times in my life where i got light headed from video games. there was the epic 23 straight hours of Ocarina in Time in 1998, the first time i killed a slime in Dragon Warrior, the first time i broke 4000 yards rushing with barry sanders on tecmo super bowl, and now this?I had briefly dabbled in MLB 2k5... just long enough to know that if i had to settle with that game, my controller cord would be used more likely as a noose then to connect to my system. God help us all, i cried...

MLB 2K6 came out and i thought "It cant be that bad right?" Yes... it can. horrible glitches, animation flaws, graphic disasters, horrible controls (seriously, WHY WOULD MY FIELDER ACT TAHT WAY? AND CAN DAVID ORTIZ REALLY GET AN INSIDE THE PARK HOMERUN OFF OF ME?) for the better part of 3 monthes, i played Ken Griffey Jr's baseball for super nintendo... that was my release when it came to baseball games. God help us all... i cried yet again.

Maybe God works in mysterious ways. maybe God likes irony. maybe Gods the type of person that thinks its funny to scare the living crap out of you before giving you what you want... but by a stroke of luck, i ran into quite the patch of luck. I was promoted at work, but in order to get my promotion, i had get on an air plane and go get management training. gravy, i thought, what in the world am i gonna do on a plane for 6 hours, in a hotel for the better part of 4 days, and another 5 hour plane ride back? God help us all... i cried yet again.

Maybe God is a long lost brother of Beetlejuice, cause it was that very same day that i decided to go get myself a PSP...Luckily for me, i went to gamestop and traded in a ton of games... and my gamecube. they were running a weekend promotion- trade in 6 games, get an extra 50% on what you trade in... that left me just 22 dollars short of sealing the deal on a PSP.i decided to go for it....but what games?as a big tetris freak, Lumines was a no brainer... but as ive been known to do, playing lumines for 6 straight hours, and then going to atraining session. doesnt sound good. maybe before bed so i can dream of big blocks and get vertigo then. as i was looking through the games, i stumbled on MLB The Show 06... What is this? No Derek Jeter on the cover? no lame usage ofY2K in the title? i have to try this out this could save me!!!!!!!!!

since that day of enlightenment, i have enjoyed the show... more then anyone will ever know. for 2006 and 2007, i used my PSP after failed attempts at giving 2K and its joke of a game the benefit of the doubt. All i could ever think about was that Uncle Pennybags, laughing his monicle wearing top hat sporting coat tail strutting old bag straight to the bank after getting duped again into buying into the craptastic game series that is MLB 2K.Do not pass go, do not collect 200, and theres derek jeter, yet again, defying all logic and going6-6 with 5 homeruns and with the range of a gazelle at short stop...

Hate is a strong word, but there are several things i hate in a video gaming world. Dr. Wiley, Ganondorf, bowser, kirby (how can a pink fluff give me NIGHTMARES?) and MLB 2K anything. last year, i caved and bought a PS3 after developing some vision problems, probably stemming from my countless hours of staring at a PSP. the reasons? reason-singular-uno-one reason. MLB THE SHOW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>> MLB 2K.

guess whos back? its been a few years since i was on here, and a lot has changed... i now own a Wii, a 360 and a PS3 but mainly use my 360. i got the achievement bug not long ago and went on a 11500 score binge in the last 2 months. i have every system, but basically im sticking with the 360 as my main squeeze. personally, i think the achievement score has killed gaming as we know it. i used to buy games based on what i like, now i always catch myself taking a quick glance at the achievements before i even buy it. while it doesnt affect what i like, i seem to find myself filling in times between game release dates with buying **** games with easy achievements. even better so, Gamestop has a feature where if you buy it used, you get a 7 day trial and can bring the game back no questions asked... anyways, my bender went as follows and we will be working backwards

2/24/09 nba 2k9-675 points
literally bought yesterday and sick of already, got the achievements VERY VERY easy. for the players, put them all on the same team and max out quarters to get 12 achievements in 1 game, trade them to one of the rivalry teams to get 13 achievements. figure in the achievements for random things (30 assists etc) your looking at 26 achievements for a 48 minute game, set quarters to 1 minute, up the difficulty to all star, and plow through the other rivalry games to get the rest.
time-2 hours difficulty-moderate

2/23/09 nhl 09-345
bought this game cause i enjoy hockey, not a good game for achievements, but i got all the ones i did in about an hour, most achievements are on-line based
time-1 hour difficulty, with the ones i got easy

2/22/09 oblivion-840
fun as **** if you toggle the difficulty meter in the options menu, its not hard at all. i kept this game cause i want to finish it, but after 60+hours of gameplay i had to take a break from it, if you only do the achievement quests, you get about 640 achievement points in about 15 hours, but i got sick of closing oblvivion gates. very enticing game
gameplay- achievement based 15 hours, looting stealing and messing around 60 difficulty- have patience, but easy

2/19/09 smackdown vs raw 09-500
mindless and boring, turn up pain meters in options, turn down difficulty, and brace yourself. as with everything else, returned it before i could finish it off, road to wrestlemanias are easy, as long as you save triple Hs in the right spot so you dont have to go through it again as the other faction he joins
time-10 hours difficulty-none

2/17/09 Sonics ultimate genesis collection-825
while there are a ton of achievements(34) this was by far the most fun i had on my bender. every game has its on achievement from the very easy (talk to a dolphin-ecco) to the slightly harder (reach level 11 on vectorman 2) the easiest was the view all artwork achievement for 50 points
time-10 hours difficulty moderate but fun!

2/12/09 lord of the rings conquest-690
the game was painfully boring and reminded me of star war battlerfront or dynasty warriors. i paid my dues, and braced myself for the ride
time-10 hours difficulty-staying awake

2/11/09 College Hoops 2k6-1000
this took all of an hour to get the 5 achievements for 1000 gamer points. quick, easy, painless. it was harder finding the used copy for 3.99 then it was to get the achievements
total time-1 hour difficulty- very easy

2/5/09 world series of poker tourny of champs-170
basically, it goes like this, you create a dude, you make a clone save, you start a tourny, you go all in, if you win, you save under the clone, if you lose , you load the clone, i returned this before i could finish to get a breath of fresh air into my gaming
time-5 hours difficulty, harder to get all achievements

2/5/09 TMNT-85
my biggest disapointment was not getting 1000 on this game, but by the time i got it to it, i was burnt out and returned it, easy as king kong to get achievements, but i didnt have patience

2/5/09 NBA LIVE 06-960
this one took more time then college hoops did, but i was only able to get 960 as i couldnt play the game online. i had to play 4 games to get all the difficulty setting achievements, but you can just as easily set quaters to 1 minute. as for the season achievements, be the lakers, make a created player and beef him up all the way. play a few games with him to get created player cheat, and he should win rookie of year and mvp.
time-3 hours difficulty-easy

2/4/09 AVATAR TLA BE-1000
literally the easiest points ever, stand in a corner and throw your wind at guys to build up a 40 or 50 hit combo
time-2 minutes difficulty-very very easy

2/3/09 gears of war 2-300
not a recommended game for achievements, a recommended game if you like to kick some ass
time-4 hours difficulty- moderate to hard

1/31/09 MLB 2K6-1000
5 Achievements, a little more tricky then you would think. got 4 with ease, but enticing the computer to hit a homerun so i could rob them was a bit.... tricky
time-2 hours difficulty- moderate

1/30/09- NHL 2K6-1000
this one was easy. build up your team, play a normal team, and beat the snot out of them. the penalty shot was the hardest, it literally took me 1 period of hockey to get this
time-10 minutes difficulty- very easy

1/30/09-NBA 2K6-1000
as with all the 2k6 launch games, 5 achievements, usually takes 1 game
time-30 minutes difficulty-very easy

1/26/09 Madden NFL 06-1000
play 1 exabition game and just pount your opponent. start a franchise mode as patriots, and sim to a super bowl, put on 1 minute quarters, and win the super bowl... thats where it went down hill as you have to sim 30 years to get final achievement
time-4 hours difficulty- mind numbingly boring but easy

i have already seen this movie 3 times (3 times within the first 24 hours) and honestly i cant wait to see it again! this movie is my new favorite!!! my only complaint is that it was rushed, and i felt that it shouldve been a little loner (runs 2.5 hours, maybe shouldve been 3) the score during the anakin-obi-wan fight scene (battle of the heroes) really sucks you into the feeling of the movie during that scene, and john williams proves once again he is a genius with music. i have NEVER seen a movie this many times in a row and wanted to see it again, but with star wars 3, i really cant wait to see it again, so i bought tickets to the 430PM show on saturday. this movie shows you what happens when george lucas really directs instead of trying to market his movie to children (jar jar and episode 1, i have never been so pissed in my life) this movie has feeling, and draws you into it.

bite215me must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could bite215me possibly have for not rating a single film?
