After a couple of weeks suckling at the bountiful bosom of Halo 3, that hollow feeling of 'whats next' has started to creep back into my gut. Gaming has always been like this for me - ever since I got my Sega Master System for Christmas one year my mind has been awash with ideas of what next to slap into my gaming machine of choice. Of course when your young you cant afford to buy all the games you want when you want leading to me reading through imported issues of EGM innumerable times (no internet!) day dreaming about games in a carefree manner.
Anyhow, I digress. The problem with a huge event release such as Halo 3 is that all other titles pale into comparison around it. Sure, the Orange Box comes out here in a couple of weeks, and I will most likely pick it up, but it doesnt have the same emotional attachment that Halo did. Same applies to Assassins creed and most every other release up until early next year when Kojima-San sees fit to unleash his latest metal gear epic upon the gaming public. I can deal with this - after all its not THAT long to wait. Sure there are the inevetiable annual updates to look forward to (cough cough) and no doubt some interesting new IP's but I wonder what will be the new thing to capture the gaming communities imagination and stand astride the gaming world as an all conqoring titan?
It probably wont be published by EA.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like bison_tuesday.
bison_tuesday must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could bison_tuesday possibly have for not rating a single film?
