The effects and direction are absolutely awesome looking however what hurts the film isn't so much the story (which isn't great either) but whats the most damning is the ridiculous characters. Each character in the movie is a annoying yuppie...

I wouldn't say it's a generational gap on my pa...(read more)rt because I'm a huge fan of many 80's movies but this one just didn't really live up to what I was hoping. However, I did enjoy the witty dark commentary so for that alone it gets a star.

Oh yeah, It also gets a star for having some Goldblum. :
