Jamie Foxx can be best described as "Talented." He's a comedian, a singer and an actor. To be more specific, he's a very funny comedian, a Grammy nominated singer and an Academy Award winning actor, give or take a few other awards, too. Anything he does, he always gives 110%; his movies are always good, his music is always great and his jokes are always hilarious. Jamie is one of Hollywood's best actors and is able to fill movie theaters; keeps you laughing with his comedy shows and his past TV shows and dancing with his hit songs. If you're a fan of Hip-Hop and mixtapes, you may have heard of his name. Clinton's creativity has lead him to become one of Hip-Hop's premier DJs and Producers. He's always been on the radio, from his hometown in Boston to nationwide and now worldwide with his award winning radio show, "SmashTime Radio." His mixtapes feature some of Hip-Hop's best artists and has produced songs with several big name artists, too. He plays for the Boston Red Sox and has become one of the most recognized athletes of Boston sports. He is known as the "Greatest Clutch Hitter in the History of Boston baseball" and perhaps all of baseball in recent years. Often looked down among baseball analysts, the designated hitter position, which is David's position, is being reinvented with David's power hitting. His game is complete all around, he can shoot (obviously), he can pass the ball, he can rebound, he plays defense, and of course always makes the spectacular plays. He also contributes to his teammates by dishing them the ball and creates open shots for them, too, when double-teamed. An arranged marriage is the last thing Prince Akeem wants, he has everything already, but he wants a bride of his own. So, with that, he decides to go out into the world and find his bride. That place turns out to be Queens, New York, perhaps not exactly what Akeem was expecting when he thought of the name. Arriving there along with his servant, he goes off to find the one woman that he wants to be with, but it's not as easy, since he wants to be seen as a normal person and not a Prince of an African country. He gets an apartment, a job and then when he finds the girl he truly loves, he tries his best to keep his true identity a secret from her. She soon discovers who he really is from her father, who discovers after Akeem's father, the King, makes a surprise visit. This movie is one of my all-time favorites, with a great cast, featuring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones and John Amos. This movie has a nice dose of comedy and romance and is always a must see when it's on tv.

A very funny and imaginative view of the different animals and how they try to get the doc to help them with their problems, and how he tries to deal with the animals and also the attention he gets from others, his family and co-workers, that he can communicate with the animals. Overall, Dr. Dolittle is a good family comedy with talking animals, what more could you want.

The up and coming comedian, Dave Chappelle, and his "pot-head" pals must find a way to get their other "pot-head" pal out of prison after an odd run in with the law. Lucky enough for Thurgood (Chappelle), he has an idea of how to get his friend out, though it's not the best idea in the world, but it works. At the same time, Thurgood is trying to balance his side job and his love life with a girl who doesn't know about his part-time job and what he and his friends are into. Overall, this movie is just funny and also in a way teaches the all important life lesson, don't do drugs.

It's not an easy trip from high school to the NBA as we see in this documentary showcasing Coney Island's high school phenom, Sebastian Telfair. We get to see his daily routine, from his early practices, to his high school games, through the Championship, to the pressure of playing his best to impress the college recruiters and even the NBA recruiters. His decision to skip college and enter the NBA draft may have been an tough decision, but it's also a tough step-up. We see him playing in the McDonald's High School All-American game and going over seas to watch his brother play ball and train with him to prepare for the next level. This movie shows that it's not as easy as it looks, but he pushed himself and worked hard and is finally rewarded in getting drafted. Sebastian takes it and exceeds when it seemed near impossible and makes it to the NBA.

Mars Attacks! is a good sci-fi comedy movie with a full line of Hollywood stars. If Aliens were to visit Earth, who knows what would happen, but this movie has it's take on the visitors from Mars. The movie takes place in multiple areas around the country, from different people, from the President and his family in the White House, to a family living in the desert, to a Vegas casino, to a woman who is anticipating the aliens arrival who has a talk show, and they all have their ways of trying to save themselves from the aliens. At first when the aliens land, it seemed like they were friendly, the next minute, they were opening fire. So of course the U.S. army had to fight back. I don't want to give away the the one thing that they seem to hate, that results in them dying, but one of the aforementioned groups helps in killing the remaining aliens who were terrorizing everyone. Overall, it's a good movie, with a good cast, filled with good laughs.

DysFunktional Family is one of my favorite stand-up comedy movies and Eddie Griffin is so funny. While he's on stage doing his routine on topics varying from his family, church, meeting his father for the first time and sex, clips are shown in between featuring his family members talking about Eddie when he was growing up and Eddie going back to his hometown and visiting his high school. To say this movie is funny is a bit of an understatement, taken his comedy may not be for everyone and he may tend to use some profanity, this movie always makes me laugh when I see it.

Jay Leno has been the Tonight Show host for many years now, and has kept or has tried to keep the Tonight Show the late night number one talk show. Every weeknight Jay comes out with good material talking about what's going on in the news, around the country and the world. He always has the best guests and has a great musical performance at the end of each show. To go along with his monologues and interviews, each show he has a different segment, like Headlines on Monday which is my personal favorite, and Jay-Walking on Fridays which is also one of my favorite segments. The Tonight Show is a late night classic going back to the 60s with Johnny Carson, and Jay Leno is keeping the late night tradition alive and well.

Before he became a big time TV star with his own show named Chappelle's Show obviously, he started out in stand up. Dave has to be one of the funniest comedians today. His stand up specials bring the house down, the crowd loves him. His jokes are great and most of his material is from everyday things and he may use it in his show as well. Dave may say a lot of racist type jokes, he talks about race a lot in his stand up, but it's funny, he doesn't do it to make others feel unconfortable. His show is a hit, everyone who is a fan of his is anticipating another season of his show, and I'm sure it's going to be all that we are hoping for and more. The second season of his show took his career to a new level and with this time off, the upcoming season should pick up where the last one left off.

Derek Jeter is one of the best baseball players today, he plays for one of the best teams, if not the best team of all-time, the Yankees. That puts a lot of pressure on a player, playing in front of a large crowd in a major city, and he has accepted the pressure of being a Yankee. He's won gold gloves for his defense at shortstop, and has been the lead-off hitter for most of his career up to last season. He's a tough out for any pitcher since he has a high on-base percentage, and he's not afraid to test the catcher's arm strength to steal a base or 2 in a game. Overall Derek Jeter plays the positon of team captain well, and leads his team each night to the expectations of their fans.
