I get halfway done one of two articles I'm about to post, and nevermind all the fun/inexplicable formatting issues of these things, and I receive an error that articles cannot contain more than 20,000 characters. I was HALFWAY done.
...pathetic. ...absolutely pathetic.
Either Unions are a means of coaxing users into staying in and around GameSpot more or whomever is responsible for Unions had some seriously-premature concepts as to the users' needs. I can accomplish more (and will) with the web hosting provided by my ISP.

I'm continuing my second article and will host it on a temp site. I've invested too much time and effort to throw this all away.

I have thought about multi-part articles but here's the thing:
My first article, of two I was wanting to post, has >20,000 chars. Assuming the article's second half is as-wordy then it'd be a 2-post article, yes. But it's >40,000 chars.
The formatting characteristics of the Unions are just awful. Anomalies arise left and right. I'm just fed up at this point - and I'm only on my 2nd article...just not a good omen.
My second article detailed a 8-configuration upgrade. 8 times the benchmark data, and some of the benchies are more in-depth than what I was trying to post originally!
...I'm not doing an 8-post article.
I'm going to use personal webspace and have my own pictures hosted and be able to do screenshots, etc.
I have my reservations as to the motives for creating Unions as well. I think it's simply "UCB 2.0" at this point in time.

LOL. I am with you totally. I also have not figured out the purpose of unions in Gamespot yet. There is a forum already.
