I hope this is my last Journal entry.
GameSpot has tried very hard to create a solid community and they have been very successful, in their own right, in doing so.
However, I have found the majority of systems implemented within the GameSpot community aimed towards the novice.
The lack of solid MODeration is quite disappointing as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed the MODeration from the likes of Konrad and NUTdave3 but these are diamonds in the rough, spread too thin to effectively-moderate the incessant immaturity that goes on in these forums.
What Unions were proclaimed to be never materialized; they were nothing more than a UCB v2.0.
If you are reading this, and haven't done so already, please visit http://www.mpceh.com/mpce where a group of us who broke away from the nonsense in PCHW, created the private UCB, "MPCEH" has formed our own website...where the MODeration works, and the forums work. It is still private, so be sure to PM the owner, MOLTOX and link your GameSpot username. We enjoy people from all ages providing you can post in a relatively mature manner. You need not be a genius, novices are more-than-welcome too.

...Got laid off Monday of last week. Completely shocked/surprised. No severance. One-week notice. ...sad thing is, I got the best 'deal' out of it all...
...word of advice: don't work for small business unless you can handle such events emotionally and financially...
Looking for a steady day job. Strongly-considering trying to reinsert myself back into IT as I hope to start up my own company.
Because of these circumstances, I have been quite absent from GS for a while now and plan to do so until daily life is nice and comfy again.

The more I watch the Playstation 3 Final Fantasy VII Tech Demo the angrier I get.
Square has teased its passionate FF fans w/a redo of FF7 for years now. I would buy a PS3 specifically to replay FF7 in an appropriate resolution and image quality. Yet this Tech Demo is announced as just that - a tech demo.
Personally, I find this to be a level of Finaly Fantasy Sacrilege!
And FF7:Advent Children only on the PSP?!?!
I feel insulted.
