So welcome to 2009 everybody. The 4th year in a row where we will get 1 RPG, 3 adventure games, 5 third person shooters, and 3,628 First Person shooters. 3,592 of them in a WWII setting. Now don't get me wrong, I have grown fonder of FPS, but still.....

That being said here is the list of games I am most looking forward to in 2009

5. White Knight Chronicles - hopefully we get a US release in 2009

4. Ghostbusters - This looks sweet, we'll see in Jun.

3. Prototype - It's like GTA, only with superpowers...

2. Killzone 2 - I can't help but hope this game is as good as it appears.

1. Uncharted 2 - I loved the first one, this one appears even better.

A couple games that could be good but I'm a little leary about:

F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin - played the demo, kinda spooky and good visuals, but I didn't like the controls.

I am Alive - only seen a teaser trailor, but it looked decent.

Alpha Protocol - Espionage RPG...I'll have to check it out

The Godfather II - They still haven't done a great job of transfering this to gaming consoles.

Final Fantasy XIII - just because we all of a sudden don't have a 2009 release date. Frickin Square....

Be aware of

Anything by Spark Unlimited - they are given great game ideas but have no idea how to make them.

Any sequel made by EA - It will be the same game you previously bought, but in this version they hired madden to say "boom" whenever you blow something up.

Any WWII shooter. Trust me, the nostalgia factor wears off and you continue to ask yourself "How many times must we relive this same war."
