Like the title states, I really think I will make a union where discussing music is encouraged and elitism is not.
I figure I'd ask if any would like to be officers, just so I can know before I make the union. I think I'll make an officer for every major genre. For example, I know MistressMinako is really into pop, so I'd let her be in charge of the discussion of that genre. She would make one major "pop" thread, where any pop fanatics could discuss it with no fear of being made a mockery of.
What do you guys think? I think I'll probably end up resigning as leader of the Gotham Union seeing as it has been rather stagnant for some time.
I'll set up possible candidates for every major genre. Also be sure to correct me if you see me forget to mention one. 
Alternative/Indie: harashawn, Dark_Knight
Hip hop/Rap: Toriko42
Pop: MistressManako
Metal: chessmaster, tzar3
Punk: tzar3, me

This union could work out, but of course theres the matter of recruiting people, and keeping the Union alive and interesting for users.

That was one thing I was wondering.

I would refer if you guys decided amongst yourselves.
I figured I'd be the head of the punk thread, seeing as all the core bands I like are technically punk, and I already do like a lot of punk.

That actually may be good, because I'm into mainstream punk and I'm not too knowledgeable about more traditional punk.

So I'll put tzar3 as appointed officer of punk, but I'd feel rude to decide one over the other in the Alternative/Rock. I trust both of you know what you're talking about, and I'm sure you guys could decide amongst yourselves who should take the title.

Well... when I made a union the minimum is 4, but the maximum I think is 8.

I have no real interest in music, so I won't join. However, I must say that this idea of having an officer for each genre is pretty neat.
