Sorry, I'm recovering from my state of shock right now. What an amazing game... seriously. I mean, it was fantastic the whole way through, but the ending... just wow. I haven't played Final Fantasy VII yet, but I have a copy of it sitting around just waiting to be put into my PS3. PS3s do play PS1 games, right? Anyway, I won't go into detail about the ending in case someone who reads this is playing it or plans to play it. I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's party!
For those of you who know what I'm talking about, how awesome are the final fights you go through with Zack? Even when the realization that he can't win slowly dawns on you... I just felt my heart slowly breaking apart. Especially with the final cut-scene featuring Aerith. I feel so bad for her and Cloud! I mean, Cloud has a huge burden to shoulder. I can understand why everyone says he's full of angst and he's moody in VII. He'd had to deal with some serious crap.
But, as i'm sure we all know, Sephiroth isn't dead! Hence, I must continue my journey into Final Fantasy VII! After that, I'll play Dirge of Cerberus and re-watch Advent Children. I honestly cannot wait... First, though, I need to finish Mini Ninjas! After that... FFVII here I come!
I'll leave you guys with this song entitled: 'One-Winged Angel'. It's a remix of Sephiroth's musical theme and is used in Advent Children. Why? Because it's a cool piece of music!

Final Fantasy VII happens to be my favourite game of all time, enjoy! Crisis Core is definitely one of the more enjoyable Final Fantasy spin-offs, alongside Tactics. And to answer your question, yes. PS1 games can indeed be played on the PS3.

I know exactly how you're feeling, it does indeed have one of the best endings ever

). It made me appreciate FFVII and its characters so much more. Enjoy FFVII when you play it, that is, if you can. Only the beginning 20, 60, and 80 GB PS3s are backwards compatible. Sony took it out for the others, stupid decision, in my opinion -.-

Awesome that you enjoyed it. The ending was the best part of the game, and yes, even though you knew it was coming, it was just so heart-wrenching. I find myself listening to the theme song that plays during that ending battle, awesome piece of music. It's called 'The Price of Freedom'. Fitting title. You should go play ffvii, though don't expect much of crisis core to be in ffvii, a lot was added to it that isn't even mentioned in ffvii. And no, Cloud was never really 'emo' in the original game, only for the first part of advent children was he 'emo' for some reason (it was jarring watching AC after playing ffvii, the first half just felt weird).
Anyway, go forth with ffvii, indeed PS1 games can be played on the PS3 so long as it's the same region.

I played them in reverse order (played Crisis Core first, then the original FF VII) and that was really interesting. You could see how the two stories fit together very plainly. I'm sure it would've worked the other way 'round, but it was still very cool.
LOVED both games, and I'm not a 100% JRPG fan, even...

I have the game, but I didn't find it too interesting so I didn't get very far in it at all

Yea Crisis Core was amazing. The only game that almost made me cry with it's ending

It is a fantastic game, (although i still need to finish it) . But FF7 as an overall series is great and once you finish the rest of it you get to see the big picture and its awesome IMO. Glad you enjoyed it and keep us updated on your progress in the series. One Winged Angel is one of the best Songs in any game IMO.

Congrats with that. X_x I need to get a PSP again eventually when I make money. When I do, I am so getting that, Tactics on PSP, Star Ocean 2, Lunar when that comes out, Dissidia: FF, SMT: Persona, Disgaea...XD there's more. Just can't think of it. Least I can play FF7 and both Wild Arms games on the PSP.

Advent Children is cool. I enjoy that movie. If only I had a psp I would so play Crisis Core.
