We all saw this coming after the Tales of Vesperia incident, right?

Anyway, there's little news about if there will be any different features or not. So far it seems there will be some minor graphical and game play tweaks - including a reworked battle system. It's also rumored that a dual Japanese/English voice version will be released on launch. That would be interesting. If it's true it at least guarantees that it will see a US release.

Well, I'm excited!

Vesperia might not be localized though.

Yeah I heard about this. I'm pretty disappointed because now I have to make a decision. about if I should just get the 360 one or if I should wait til I get a PS3 (if I even do) and get that version. Agh, why can't everything just be an exclusive

Agh, this is starting to piss me off. 360 RPG "exclusives" going over to PS3 with more content. Its really ridiculous how much the Xbox is holding the PS3 back.

Well this was no doubt going to happen regardless - more user base for PS3 in Japan and plus they are companies - they want to make money, they don't give a stuff about console preference. That said, I'm going to pick up the 360 version if I have money and time.

I knew this would get announced eventually. But as soon as I finished it on Xbox 360. How strange. It's like they were waiting for me to finish it or something.

If it localises, I'll possibly give it a rent, or buy a really cheap copy. I would kill to play it with Japanese voices.

Quite surprising. I was planning to get the Limited edition of the 360 version but I think I might wait if they state anything about a Limited Edition for the PS3 version, because if they do, I may get that and if not, I'll get the 360 version instead.

Just hope it has a western release (as well as Vesperia).

@ShadowVari: They localized Eternal Sonata for the PS3...its Namco Bandai. Given how popular the 360 version was (which I played to death), I'd love to get a PS3 version with extra content released...
@barkera0: I had faith that this was gonna happen. Gamefly found out at the end of July, but had to take it down the next day cause SE told them to. Over a month and a half later, they come out and admit to it. This move gives me reason to love them again. If I can get Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean 4 on the PS3, localized here...those + Eternal Sonata + Final Fantasy 13 + White Knight Chronicles = very happy PS3 owner who loves RPGs.

@Grandstream
Yes they did, but I don't think the Namco Tales Studio would want it to be localized. They rarely make their games on more than one system, and when they do (like Tales of Symphonia for the PS2), they keep them in Japan. It's still up in the air.

I wish to play it again with Japanese voices.
