Hello, my lovely kittens and mice.

Oh god, yes...I'm alive. I'm alive and I shall eat your brains!

*Coughs. /zombie moment.*

Anyway, sorry I haven't posted much...well, anything, since July. I've been busy (traveling and polishing my novel [yay!-it's-really-not-that-fun-yay!]), even though I've posted a bit on my external blog (--Edited out for security reasons--). I didn't think about leaving you all behind and forgotten. Pfft, why would I do that? I'm a mod.

>___> I care for all my kittens and mice.

(Why are you guys my kittens and mice again?)

I've also been playing Disgaea: Hour of Darkness again, but I haven't had time recently, mainly because I've been polishing (yay!-again-it's-really-not-that-fun-yay!). I should polish and polish it, and polish it until it's polished to the bone (well, not literally, but to the point where it's as best as it can be; though, even then, it could be better). I had to do some..."fun" things with MS Word (not supposed to sound dirty!); basically, I want to create two separate documents for my novel, and instead of just pressing "Save As", I want one document to have everything (including the two epilogues) and the other document being the actual whole that I'll be sending out when requested. Well, Microsoft Word decided it wasn't going to save and give me a stupid error. What error you ask?

"'Document's name here' does not exist."

I worked on it for five hours and forty minutes. Even though it said the second document didn't exist, I did it again and it didn't take as long as last time. Then again, last time, I had to fight with the straight and smart quotes... Grrr. I hate smart quotes.

(If you're wondering what smart quotes are, they are the quotes that you basically see in books; some are rather "curly" like. Straight quotes are just as stated: straight [ " ]).

Anyway, that's all for now. I'll talk about more of my adventures later. Also, my mom found out that the cat doesn't like medicine very much. She usually just lets it drool out of her mouth, but the last time my mom gave her medicine, she spit it all over my brother's face and shirt. >__> Sucks for him.

@GAMECAMILLER: It's not very swell when it comes to MS Word being a pain in the ass.

I'd rather be a wolf than a cat or a mouse. Oh well.

Hope the polishing up goes smoothly without MS Word bogging you down. You'd think knowing Microsoft they'd be on the ball fixing these sort of problems.

MS word has been a pain ever since it's inception during Windows 2.0!Of course back then all of the MS Office components were sold seperately.

Anyway I admire your dedication and work ethic.I want you to be succesful in what you do. Just remember a signed copy comes to me.

Good luck with Disgaea,,,again.LOL

Can I be a kitten? I don't want to be a mouse.

Good to see you.

@SonicHomeboy: You'd think they would...

You'd think.

@zinoalex: Yeah, yeah.

@megagene: Sure, if you want. xD

I have a heck of a time with it because I spend most of my time on a Mac so although I know how it should am very inexperienced at actually getting the thing to operate.

Ouch...I think you need to hit your computer REALLLLY hard for that

I've got the same problem with word and Openoffice solved it.
and about your brother, ohhh... I can't even imagine that.

MS Word's most devastating blow; "This program has performed an illegal operation and is forced to close." And then AutoRecover doesn't work. That was the worst thing I've had happen: I lost half an essay.

Good luck polishing the novel.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was awesome. Why'd I get rid of it? I DUNNO!

@iowastate: I've never used a Mac. Though, my sister has one and it's already crashed on her, and she has only had for less than a year (I think less than six months, even).

@PJ24: No. I'm not abusing my laptop. It did nothing wrong.

@red-ray: Usually Microsoft Word 2007 doesn't do that. I think I might have saved it somewhere else (probably on my flash drive without realizing it), which resulted in it saying "does not exist" error.

@gbrading: Ohh, I'd be so pissed if it decided to do that.

@Azure_Valkyrie: Thank you.

@Dzjaansis: You came here. This is my profile. YOU go away!

@JustPlainLucas: Hmmm.

My hard drive crashed after about 2 years so that is not an oddity. Since I had a warranty I got a replacement installed, no way to replace everything I lost. but when I can get another computer it will be a PC and NOT a Mac.
Posted Sep 20, 2009 5:27 pm PT
@Dzjaansis: >__> I was kidding.

@iowastate: I argued with my brother-in-law about macs getting viruses or not. He told me he won't be getting one now that he has a mac. I've had mine for over a year and my computer (PC) has yet to crash, whereas his has. And he said his mac is more stable than my computer will ever be.

I'm still leaving

The reason the old Macs with the C5 processor that run OS X never get serious viruses is not that they are immune, but they are such a small proportion of the computer world that it is not worth the bother it takes. A hacker wants his time to be worth while. Like anyone else he wants recognition, and if the guy has a choice of infected 250,000PCs or 12,500Macs the choice is obvious, Macs were always a drop in the bucket and not bothered with because if a successful virus wiped out the info on most of them the reaction would probably been a huge - So What!

and likely would not be noticed

Macs never had 5% of the worlds computers, Apple makes their profit off iPods, iPhones, iTunes NOT iBooks and iMacs.

If your brother has an iMac the runs Windows he can get viruses anytime he operates on a windows partition the same as anyone else. When you run the Mac OS you are limited in what you can do and if you want to game you are extremely limited. Doom3, Lego Star Wars, Fable, Black & White, Halo: CE, Neverwinter Nights, Shadowbane, WoW,

and a few others.

Intel-Macs can run more games because of the x86 processor, but not as many as a PC and generally with a higher price tag. I keep track at the Macgamestore.

Even on the Intel-Mac with Vista or Boot-Camp for some reason all PC games still will not run, you have to buy one made for the Mac and pay more than the Windows version.
