Schindler's List
I know I`m extremely late. Bought the Dvd only yesterday but was still not really in eager to watch it, that black and white stuff kinda make me feel off and thought I would not like it. But on Anbis` 
recommendation, I watched it and hell HOW WRONG WAS I ABOUT THIS MOVIE. It`s not only excellent but now simply on the top of my all time favorite movies list...a masterpiece from beginning to end.
The black and white effect is a genius strike, brings so much effect and realism to the movie. The story is intense, captivating, very emotional (yes Anke, I cried too 
) , with so much energy and more importantly, it was based on real fact . Schindler is an absolute legend.
The acting, writing and directing is simply amazing. Definitely my all time fave movie now.
And....
I`ve also rewatched the Downfall (Untergang, Der ) on the way, and I don`t know to what extend this movie is accurate but find it very insightfull and it`s still one of my fave. Bruno Ganz, hats off!! Probably the best acting performance I`ve seen in a movie. (Following pic is to scare off Anbis 
)
My top 4 favorite Movies (in order of preference) are now:
1.Schindler`s List.
2.Downfall
3.Saving Private Ryan.
4.V For Vendetta. (The movie with the richest dialogues I`ve seen)

Schindler's List should be made compulsory.
Another favourite of mine in the genre - The Pianist. Kept me shocked from start to finish. The thing is.. these movies are more shocking than all the thrillers they make nowadays cuz these movies are based on real events that has happened not so long ago... incredible.

Hey! I dont really know that movie, but I wouldn't like to watch it because it's black and white..I dont like films like that because I cant get into them. 
I have watched Saving Private Ryan, it's a very very good movie! 
Come on Manchester United, do it for Everton please Plus I really, really hate Liverpool!! Sorry Well, hopefully I will speak to you soon!

You are not getting the 4th place I did not want to watch Schindler's List because it was in black and white too but I was wrong...I recommend you that movie.

I'll have to give that movie another chance, watched it back in 9th grade did not pay attention and found it very boring.But ill give it another chance.

I totally agree with you about Shindler's List. The presentation in black and white added to the authenticity of the story. I think anyone that could watch that movie and not be moved to tears at some point is lacking in emotional range. The last few minutes, the legacy he left is so amazing. Definitely a top of the list movie for me. Sorry about Liverpool...maybe you can use those fire crackers next year.

I wouldn`t go that far. Manutd win a lot but Arsenal and Chelsea are fair opponents. Liverpool is the club that won the league most times ( 18 ) but the last time was in 1990( I was 1) . we`ve since met a lot of success on the European stage (won Uefa cup, Champions league, super cup etc..) but that League is what the fans want but we are just no even getting near to it. The most frustrating thing is that we have the team to do it. We can dominate it but it just ain`t happening.

And of course, Bruno Ganz is scary, amazing acting. Even more because it's the closest thing to reality as you can get if you ask me. Although the WW II is more than 60 years over, it's still part of many people's history...

as for Downfall...yes I agree..still a part of many people lives. It was really a risky portrait of Hitler but probably the more realist one.

However I`ve read that the ending was fiction tho. In reality Hitler`s secretary (I like the actress) was actually raped several times by the Russians..which sucks. Felt extremely bad after reading that.

I think is well over...Manutd will be hard to catch. , specially with Arsenal`s schedule...wouldn`t count on Chelsea either.
