Well this has been a fun week at work.....seriously......thrill-a-minute rollercoaster of fun..........are you picking up on the sarcasm???? We had our staff reviews this week (held every 3 months) which means that we all had to complete review documents on what we believe our role is, what tasks take up the most time, what if anything is the hardest aspect of our jobs, do we need any studying, more resources, and the fun part of rating ourselves on our Job Management and Job Satisfaction. The best part by far is ranking (from 1-6) these in order of most important: Salary, Job Satisfaction, Creer Opportunities, Self Development, Flexibility of Hours, Support from Manangement ........... doesn't matter how I rank 'em I always get push-back over it! the first time we filled these in I listed Salary as 2 or 3 important - I got roasted for being too concerned about money; second time I had Support from Management at 6 - and got roasted for not believing in 'the system' or some crap.....then I get to sit through the dissertation on my job performance and how bad/good its been, what my failures are, the economic crisis isn't helping, 'hard decisions may have to be made' and my head is quite possibly on the chopping block - so I'm freaking out and people wonder why I'm so freakin stressed!!! AARRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Deep breaths girl...deep breaths.....ok....so....I've been an angel at work with my internet usage - haven't done anything bar check my Gmail for the past month!! I deserve a freaking award!!! LOL just means that my home usage has gone up significantly!! I'm loving my new home - Saturday nights are the best I think coz that means bubble bath, vanilla candles, quiet jazzy music and a glass of wine and just relaxing till all the bubbles are gone (1 ½ hrs last week!!) *sigh* that is the way to do things girls!!! I've been pretty lazy though in that I'm living out of my suitcases - I still haven't unpacked all my clothes!! My work clothes are all out and some weekend stuff - but 90% is still in my suitcases!

Family News: I'm being deserted and I'm starting to take it personally!! nah not really... My brother - who works at a beef abattoir - has put in for a transfer down to the meat works in Devonport (Tasmania) and has been accepted and apparently starts work there on 16 February!! And since he wants to take his truck with him, he's driving down so I'm pretty sure that means he'll have to be leaving Toowoomba in the next couple days coz it'll take a few days to get down to Tas etc. But the best part is that I only found out from mum & dad last week - I've heard nothing from David at all!! Gggrrrrr - bloody brothers!!! So I'm going to be the last of my family still up here.....ok so yeah I've got my nana and an aunt & uncle and a cousin or two - but we're not the closest of extended families.....never have been; and I'm sorry to say we never will be. Am definitely going to start considering a move myself down south to the Apple Isle (that's Tasmania) in the next couple years....hmmm.....I'm thinking Launceston probably coz its only 1hr from mum & dad and it's a large enough city to keep me happy.....or Hobart's 4hr drive away.....or even Devonport coz that's only 30min away.....but I'll need to save up the $$$ to afford to ship my things down & job-hunt & find somewhere to live.

Speaking of all things family - I've got 2 weeks off over Easter (yay!!) so I'm heading down to stay with mum & dad.....mum & I have got some serious shopping in Launceston planned! That'll be a full day out...shopping, lunch, shopping - I've missed the day-trips with my mama; we have the best times gossiping and passing judgment on the latest fashion & people watching. This trip will be a lot more fun than Christmas - David won't be there to give mum a hard time about everything (her age, her cooking); being a know-it-all, not listening to anything we say, drinking WAY too much....just being a general pain in the a$$. Bring on this time in April!!

So Scott's ignoring me at the moment (annoying little ferret!!) so I've been....hmm......er..... chatting ... with Peter who I knew from Crows Nest (he was a couple years older than me); used to hang out at his place when I was about 13 - his sister and I were friends...but anyway he found me on Facebook and so we've been chatting...let me just say he looks goooooooood!!!! VERY nice.... I've been invited round his place whenever I want to catch up some more coz he thinks I'm funny and he loves people that make him laugh!! LOL woohoo - I'm in!!! really shoulda made that bet with my friend Jacq....I was telling her the other week that I'd been chatting on facebook with him and that I could so 'get him' if I wanted too....LOL and I've done pretty much that!! Sitting here grinning like a naughty school-girl whilst writing that LOL good thing no-one here at work is looking at me!!! (I'm typing this at work via email to my home and then I'll upload).

Well I'm going to dodge out from work for 20min and do a quick run up the road to the bottle shop....then it'll be time to go home for the day (yippee!!) so by the time you all get to read this I'll be at home, sitting back relaxing with a glass of wine and contemplating what to eat for dinner....yep I'm such a party-animal...non-stop, never home, party party party........

I'm hoping that one of these days I'll have the spare time to float back into all the forums and catch up on the latest goss and find out what's been happening with everyone - I feel totally outta the loop!!
