Hi. I've been a member and avid read of GameSpot for quite a long time. Since it was affiliated with EGM and I believe they calld it "videogames.com". Gaming is my #1 and main hobby; although my interest extends outside just playing games. I'm always reading about them, whether it's online or in gaming magazines. I've collected EGM since issue #100 and still get them. I also love: Play, Edge, GamesTM, Cube, and Game Informer. Collecting is a big part of my gaming-nature. I simply love adding games to my growing collection (of over 200). Whether they are rare, uncommon or just one that I desire to own. I don't collect games for money. It's a heart thing. Those true gamers out there will understand. I'm also always writing about games. Whether it's updating my web-site with the latest news or writing and submitting reviews to various places or simply posting on forums . . . I love to read, I like to write, and games are my life, so it all fits hand in hand. Ever since I bought that 100th issue of EGM I've always kept up with the goings-on in the industry. I'm the type of guy who knows more official gaming-related crap than most people around me, even those dang game-store clerks. I own many systems but not as many as one may be lead to believe. That though just gives me even more of a reason to keep seeking games and systems out, adding to my growing stable (and growing experience). I probably spend more time reading & writing about games than I do playing them, sad but true. But I am still very much an avid gamer, and I don't think that will ever change. Especially with the next-generation on the horizon! Oh, and I'm a Nintendo fanboy. But I game on all systems and have a HUGE back-catalog of games I need to work my way through, for all systems. With someone like me, gaming is always on my mind. It's something I kind of "have to " do. I'm always keeping in mind that I need to write that review for that game or I need to play that game I bought four years ago. It's still on my to-do list, and I will get to it eventually. Most games are created equal, it's just Nintendo games are a better. ;) I've always loved the quality, innovation and design of Nintendo's titles. They still capture my heart like none-other, as is shared by many gamers who started out on the grand-ol' NES. I never did own an Atari, it was before my time, but I grew up with the NES and Nintendo, and I was loyal (never owning a Sega or other system) until we (me and my bros.) finally bucked the habit with the PS2. My favorite genres are: Action/Adventure, RPG, and Survival Horror. Some of my favorite franchises are: Resident Evil, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon and many, many others. I also hope to one day work in the industry, if possible, most likely making some Christian-focused games. Of which their is a dire need IMO. I love to chat about games and talk serious or nostalgic, and I enjoy meeting new people, so if you find me interesting, then feel free to PM me and maybe we can get a friendship going. It's happened many times in the past. I've met some great friends on this here site. God bless.
