I saw Transformers 2 last night, and this blog is mostly a review about the whole thing. But first, I have to say, that I didn't really look forward to seeing this movie because I already had a feeling of how this movie was going to turn out, based on reading some critics' reviews. But nothing beats seeing it for yourself, so that's what I did. I'll start with the good points about this movie.

Transformers 2 is an action-packed movie with robots. That pretty much sums it up. I'm a big sucker for action scenes, and I was impressed with what the movie presented. My favorite fight scene *SPOILERS* was when Optimus Prime fought off 3 Decepticons by himself, decapitating, wrestling all over the place. I mean, when you saw the first movie he wasn't even that great. Then he just turns into a total bad@ss in this movie. Why couldn't he be that way in the first one?

Now, all the bad points. Transformers 2 is too long of a robot-action flick. Seriously. There are many scenes in the movie that held no significance whatsoever, and this movie could have been a whole lot better if it was shorter. All the fight scenes and seeing our favorite Transformers in the movie were worth watching, but the length just starts to wear down on you.

Another terrible, and annoying part of the movie was the humor they tried to implement. Most of the one-liners and jokes were just too damn cheesy and stupid that it just got old really fast. There were also these two Autobots called the 'Twins,' and these guys were just irritating. They're the typical, racist/stereotype combination, and they shouldn't have been put in the movie in the first place. Bad move on the director's part, that's for sure. I admit, there were some really funny events, like when one of the supporting characters tazers himself. But the sexual innuendos that were present were just stupid.

The movie's story is pretty weak. Basically, it's about this Transformer called 'The Fallen,' and he's pretty much the inspiration for the founding of the Decepticons. Sam Witwicky is off to college, but a piece of the All Spark starts messing with his head and he starts seeing symbols in his mind. These symbols hold a key to a far greater power than they could have ever imagined. The Fallen wants this power, and the Autobots attempt to stop him. Ok, sounds pretty good. But seriously, they did the whole resurrection thing on Megatron, and he's not even the main antagonist. So...what's the point of bringing him back then? Throughout the whole movie, Megatron's and Starscream's presence there just felt so insignificant, and it was all focused on The Fallen. The relationship between Sam and Mikaela were just so frickin' cliche, it was just pathetic to watch.

Did I mention earlier about the resurrection thing? Yeah, it was pretty out of control in the movie. Basically, one of the main characters die in the movie, which could make you react like. Then at the end of the movie, they're brought back to life. "Seriously?!" was my reaction to that. I think it pretty much sums up how I felt about that concept.

So to sum it all up, Transformers 2 is all just about the action, and seemingly making everything weak on purpose, because people love action. Bottom line. Anyway, I didn't even bother watching the scenes that contained all the stupid, cheesy humor, and the cliche love scenes. All I enjoyed was robots fighting. That's about it.

Overall Score: ** 2/5 Stars

I suggest you just wait for this movie to come out on DVD on Blockbuster and rent it.

This just in today. At 12:30 pm earlier this afternoon, musician Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest at his home. When firefighters arrived at his house, they found him not breathing. When paramedics rushed him to the hospital, it was already too late; they said he went into a coma, and some have confirmed that he has died. The full news is on this link. You can check it out if you want.

So yeah, lately we've known Michael Jackson as the child molester. That's true, but let's not forget that this guy is one of the greatest musicians of all time. Probably revolutionized lots of genres of music over the years, and he's influenced alot of people because of this. Personally, this sucks, because I grew up listening to his music, and still do. Sad to see such a legendary person go.

All his bad qualities aside, I respect this guy because of the music he brought us, and always will. Anyway, that's about it.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson, 1958-2009.

I'm sure ya'll already know about the anime-inspired-turned-live-action series is coming to theaters next year right? Well, it wasn't really something to look forward to when they announced it a long while ago. Especially, if M. Night Shamalayan is directing the films (trilogy is already established). I mean, this guy is a pretty good director. He did Signs and The Sixth Sense.

So...he's a horror movie guy, so it's obvious to be skeptical about him doing The Last Airbender, because it's martial arts/supernatural based. Seeing this video...I don't know...

By the looks of the teaser, it's going to be a darker or more serious theme than the original cartoon series, Avatar. But let's just hope that they don't kill the series, just like they did with Dragonball Evolution (remember that, huh!? ). Or it's probably too late now...

The Last Airbender Teaser

Must Hollywood ruin more shows/games!? Well, just hope this movie won't turn out like the rest...

Seriously...can't they have Asian actors portray these characters!? Seriously. It's like an insult and mockery to the original series, just like they did with Dragonball Evolution. *sigh*....
