It has been a long time since I posted something actually worth reading. This blog will be long and strong.. meh ?
Epic Movie
I like comedies. I like to laugh. I like parodies (Naked Gun, Scary Movie). In my opinion Scary Movie is one of the funniest movies ever made. The strength of the movies was just that it wasn't afraid to just take things to the limit. Now two of six writers of Scary Movie have come together to make their own movie (Actually they made a movie like a year ago called '' Date Movie ''. It was really sucky and had some really so not-funny jokes in it.) Epic Movie just can't do it... again. The problems start right at the beginning of the movie. There's a joke where a man is wounded on the ground and the woman is on that mans hand (didn't we see that on Scary Movie?). Now that woman needed a clue and the man just started dancing around from some reason ? Why should a dancing dead man ever be funny ? No one knows... The hole movie is filled with stupid music and dance acts (which is really annoying).
The most hurtful thing to me was to see Kal Pen in this movie. I got to admit - he was the only actor who really had the ability to actually ACT. He's really charming and cool. Weirdly enough there was also Jennifer Coolidge in this movie (She was in Joey also). She can do so much better.
Overall '' Epic Movie '' had some quality jokes (I'm gonna Drop you like K-fed) but these were overshadowed by the lack of originality and good actors to bring it to life.
Also I leveled my third character to level 20. (Elementalist/Necromancer, Dervish/Monk, Ranger/Monk). I'm enjoying it more then ever for some reason.. O.o
Also had a really easy week. There were 15 teachers sick this week so we had like 3 lessons every day. It was really relaxing after 2 of those deadly weeks to finally get home at 10.35 and just sleep, play videogames or just read a book. >_>

Those types of movies are only good when they are done very sparingly and done well. Unfortuneately, most of them are just bad.

I'll be checkin out Epic Movie once it hits rental shelves. Seemed like it was going to be funny as hell from all the trailers I saw.

i love parodies. But i agree that many of them lack quality. Date Movie was watchable but not good. I haven't seen Epic Movie yet but one my friend who is seen maybe thousands of movies said that it's the worst film he ever saw.
