GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

I've never seen the point of writing a journal entry, but with a huge
hunk of spare time, I decided to write one today. Come to think of it,
I've never seen the point of posting. I've spent rediculous amounts of
time on GS (13,000 mintues), which could have been spent studying for
tests, doing homework, and playing real games. Also, posting and
increasing your post count doesn't add anything material to your life.
The internet is also a place where someone could care less about you.
Hell, there's no point, and it does have a negative impact on school
and a social life if taken to extreme levels, but it's just plain fun.

Anyways, I've been posting on Gamespot for about a year now. I started
as a poster posting on the regular boards. The regular boards were
actually good back then, and I took mostly a backseat to the
discussion. The threads I did try to create were spam. I still
remember my first thread! It was something called Worst Games ever
Made, and it was locked by Squall. I was moderated again a few weeks
later for linking a person to www.o*****.com. (Why is og***h a
censored word?) I stayed and remained the horrible poster that I was
and contributed little. As the spammers started coming in, and the new
posters did, I got a taste of my own medicine. The boards got pretty
horrible. Only a few topics were worth noticing. All debate ceased in
SW. OT became a dumpster with topics like, "I found a dead money in
the closet wearing my underwear. Should I keep my underwear?". The GC
forum, as did GGD became, "Top 10, Worst 10, blah blah blah blah". The
people I had recognized and frequently followed disappeared, leaving a
flood of new users. I still recognized some people, but for everyone I
knew, there were thirty new users. The main board became a sewer. At
about October, I finally inquired about UCBs. J-Freak introduced me to
the VU, and I began posting there.

The VU soon took the place as my most favorite board on GC. There were
a recurring cast of users and the occasional welcome new face. The
board contained great and interesting topics and great posters, each
with their own unique flavor. Sometimes you could know who made the
topic without looking at the originator. Also, there was no flaming or
spam, as there is on the main GS boards.

Anyways, here are some of my horribly drawn impressions of some of the
frequenters of the VU. I'll draw more and put more up when I have more
time.

Here's my impression of AlexandriaZ. She seems rather demonic and
ruthless, but she's cool all the same

This is my impression of Robbie_IV. He seems just very random and I
still can't figure him out.

I might post more impression later. I hope I didn't piss anyone off.
Thanks for reading.
