June 19th 2009 - There's a sunny beam coming this way!

There's been plenty of causes for celebration yesterday. Not that one actually needs a reason, though.

HOLY COW, LOOK AT ALL THOSE F***ING INDIANS !!!

No, wait! Not holy cow, but Holy Lever 10! Not that I care about rank, of course But I do believe a landmark should be mentioned.

Speaking of landmarks there:

25 YEARS ANNIVERSARY...

...of the birth of my sister. My older sister turned a quarter of a century old yesterday. I wanted to get her a copy of '1984', but I don't think she likes that sort of books.

THIS IS THE END

Finally. I honestly thought this day would never come. Exams are over - school is over! Exams went so-so, but one thing I'm sure I did very good (other than English ) is French. And that's more or less all that counts. In any case, it is a real celebration cause.

SO WHAT COMES NEXT?

What came next, to be precise, is what we did yesterday. Eleni, Hélène, and me did a whole little ritual. Mostly planned by the said Hélène since it was her last day of school ever. We went to a park in the afternoon. Eleni brought her stuff that she legally (apparently to her that's very important) bought in Amsterdam and then we played dice poker. Not only was it amazing, but I won too!

Then we went here

CINEMATEC(fancy, eh?)

to see the animated version of Animal Farm. I'm still extremely pigophobic, if that's a word. Hopefully it will fade.

Afterwards we continued on to the bars. Ends of the school-year and birthdays only happen once a year, don't they?

I wish you all a very happy weekend!

Happy Anniversary to Sis! You have a fear of pigs? Do you have to be around them often? And it does have a name- swinophobia! Have a great weekend!

Wait a second! Time out! LOL Your older sister?! And she's 25? Ok, so how old are you then? I've ALWAYS thought you were in your 40s! LMFAO. But I remember you talking about your grades so I was thinking maybe you went back to college?! I have no clue! LOL Guess I was wrong!

This "swinophobia" sounds like a joke to me.(but I know it's not) In my language we have a word "svinia" which is the jargon word for a pig and most often used as an offence for humans compared to pigs... And now it turns out that it obviously is official latin or something =D The most swinophobia-causing movie (and mostly the book) IMO is Hannibal. >>>

End of school - yay for you. I miss this so happy feeling... /after you leave school the vacations mean never the same IMO - incl in the university /

silverlukas, we use the swinia thing too. But I don't think it's slang. Just proves you can insult people with cIassy language too Besides, Germans also say schweine (or whatever). Btw, I have never seen the whole Hannibal movie, from beginning to end. But the terror that Animal Farm caused me would be very hard to beat. Speaking of school holidays though, turns out Ill have one extra - flunked this year Ah well...

Yay a new level and yay the end of exams. I finished mine in April and partied for two days afterward. Glad they went well though. And btw, if I had been born in 1984 - I'd think that would be a super clever gift.

sheeplikeme - it took me like 3 days to get over the headache As for the book, I do think it's a bit too heavy. But who knows, maybe she'll like it when she turns 30, then I'll buy it for her. PS, if Orwell causes swinophobia, who knows what other fears he can get you
