I saw the article for the what's-it-gonna-come-with on GameSpot earlier yesterday. The story's in the PS3 launch center for those who don't know what the crap I'm talking about.
I
looked through all of this and thought "Wow! This is all so fantastic!
I wish I could get my hands on $600= dollars to spend on November
17th!" Yeah, and monkeys might fly out my butt*.
Monetary issues
Why
is it that we have to dish out so much cash for systems these days, eh?
I mean, are the hard drives needed THAT badly that the base model HAS
TO have one and still be $100+ more than the premium Xbox 360 package
(PS3 base model= $499.99 / Xbox 360 premium= $399.99)? And why aren't
they offering up those 100 gigabyte models that I heard about some time
back? Oh wait, yeah... Sony didn't have plans to at the moment. But
still... if they were to release a version w/ a 100 gigabyte drive,
then we'd all probably be as screwed as a party in FF VII with only one
Phoenix Down and one regular potion left in the middle of a boss fight
with each member having somewhere between 100 and 200 hp... when their
max hp is somewhere between 5500 and 6000.
Games
The
one thing we all look forward to with a new system- games and their
gameplay. We all have seen the new titles being released on launch day-
RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN, CALL OF DUTY 3, RIDGE RACER 7, UNTOLD LEGENDS:
DARK KINGDOM, etc. But what about the killer apps that we're all really
looking forward to, like the following- MGS 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS,
KILLZONE 2, GRAN TURISMO HD, FF XIII, etc.? The titles we're all really
looking forward to we have to wait for. And is that a good thing... or
a bad thing? Well, let's look back at KH2. Sure, we had to wait maybe
half a year before the US release, but they were fine-tuning it for us
American players. Another thing we had to wait for was HALF-LIFE 2
(another app I'm waiting for on the PS3). I'll just leave it at that...
and we can play PS1 and PS2 games on here... WITHOUT HAVING TO DOWNLOAD
PATCHES TO PLAY THEM! IN YOUR FACE, MICROSOFT!!!!
Online play
Another
thing we all wait for is the online play. SWEET- WE GET IT FOR FREE! IN
YOUR FACE, XBOX LIVE!!!!! But... why does the base model have only an
ethernet connection and the higher-end model the WiFi? The way the
higher-ups do this crud amazes me... it boggles the mind what goes
through their breains when conceiving this stuff and putting it onto
paper. But... at least it's all free. And we can still play SOCOM on
here...

I like the comeback, loopy_101. Just remember though- if you have to have a lot of numbers in your screen name, then you're a newb.

So basically I'm a newb, because you can't count while I point the numbers and facts out in a mathematical state?, typical....

Apparently, you've never seen that "10 ways to spot a newb" HALO 2 video.
