Well I haven't watched much TV lately, a bit of Family Guy and American Dad, but my mind keeps drifting back to Battlestar Galactica. I can't wait for the 3rd series to come out. Its far from perfect sci-fi, but a lot closer to it than I've seen in a long time (perhaps ever). Some episodes seem to go nowhere much and have no consequences, and other episodes that drive the story forward seem rushed and glossed over. In spite of this I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

I just watched the finale of Startrek Enterprise series 4 and must say that I agree with the negative reviews I've seen posted about it. It was tangibly painful to sit through - Next Gen characters have no place in concluding this story.
I had heard that it was like the Dallas episode where Pamela wakes up and it was all a dream. And I concur - after all Riker was conversing with most of the characters and so are we to assume they are holodeck simulacra? The way he used it as an immersive ipod, jumping around trying to figure out a solution to a problem no enterprise viewer cared about, then cut off the historic speech the episode was leading up to, was I agree, apalling!

I just got through watching series 4 of Star Trek: Enterprise, mainly because when I had more time to kill I watched the first 3 series. Actually I haven't watched the finale yet, and from the reviews perhaps I shouldn't. If trek takes a few years off it will be for the wounds of the fans to heal - but there are a lot who won't forgive the producers of this show for what drivel was passed off as plot.

Its probably just as well, the trek universe is so bland and politically correct, its sickening. A modern day Blakes 7 is what's needed, but Firefly got canned and the movie was doomed to failure. Battlestar Galactica carries all our hopes now, and that's more weight than is right for one show.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like andykirk.
andykirk must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could andykirk possibly have for not rating a single film?
