well I was researching for a car and I came across this 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse for $5000. At first I wasn't sure if it was too good to be true so I emailed the seller and asked him more about the car and found out it actually was too good to be true

first check out the ad here

and then check out the email he sent me. it's actually pretty funny

Hy there, I am sorry for the late reply. The car is still available. Its a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS,Automatic Transmission, Have9524 OriginalMiles.
The car is in EXCELLENT condition; the body and paint are great, no scratches and no dents, the interior is clean, it has never been involved in an accident. I'm an US Air Force Lieutenant, but, for the next 6 mounths I must stay in Iraq, in a mission. The car is not here with me, obviously. It`s in USat my wife. The car is registered in the US.
As I'm unable to travel in the next 6 mounths, my wife is the only one who can help me finish this transation. But, because of the fact that she is alone at home, I decided to make this transaction through Yahoo Autos, because I don`t like the idea that my wife meet strangers. My condition is a littlebit different and I hope you will understand me. I don`t think that is safe for a single woman to meet strangers. Yahoo Autosis safe for my point of wiev. If you are not familiar with it, let me tell you a few words about this service. So, how it actually works? Simple: the buyer sends the payment toYahoo Autosand they hold the money until the car is delivered, I ship the car to you, I get my money only after the buyer receives the car and makes sure everything is as agreed. I believe this protects both buyer and seller and it's the right way to do this. The final price is $6000 USD but I accept to send 50% ($3000 USD)of the total amount and the rest in max 14 days, this price includes also the shipping to your home address. So, if you decide to buy this car or need further information please get back to me as soon as possible.
I don`t have much spare time, but I will try, anytime I can, to get back to your e-mails. It would be easier for me to talk to you on the phone, because I know that the transactions ends earlier, but I am not alowed to use my phone in personal purposes. I hope you can understand me.
Thank you for understanding me and I wish you a great day!

Lt. Mark Griggs.

jerkface: I contacted yahoo motors and I sent this to them and they strongly suggested that I don't go through with this because yahoo motors doesn't even do wire transfers like the guy is suggesting. They also believe it is a scam and look at the price for the car. it's way too good to be true, the guy just wants to make a quick buck

Damn lol. And to think there are people who are too dumb enough to realize it's a scam.
