Recently, Proton announces the Waja/Impian replacement models will be based from the Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT models and will be launched by next year. So, Mitsubishi lancer 2.0 GT will have a 'twin brother' which is also a competitor to the Japanese brand. This model will be fitted with 1.8 engine and this price will be around at RM 80,000, which is far cheaper than original lancer models which is RM 120,000. So, you can buy this lancer rebadged models with cheaper price.

This model will be rebadged as the proton models.
