This weekend is tax-free weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Basically what this means is that there's a certain listing of clothing under $100 (and school supplies) that can be purchased w/out tax. Yeah, people go CRAZY for stuff like this, and considering this is usually the weekend before school starts (in most places around here), any kind of retail place is going to be super-busy.
At my store, we have extended hours. 8 am til 11 pm Friday, 7 am to 11 pm Saturday, and 8 am til 11 pm on Sunday. Sounds like an amusement park ride in Hell. ![]()
And yes, I work every day. I'm not real worried about it, I'm just worried about when we close, we have to stay and help clean up. Last Saturday, I stayed until 1 am cleaning the store, which wasn't too bad, could've been worse, could've stayed later.
I'm scheduled til closing tonight and on Sunday night. So this should be quite interesting, maybe I'll have stories to tell.
What I am happy about is that we can "dress down," meaning we can wear sneakers, khaki pants, and a polo shirt instead of wearing dressy clothes like we usually do.
That's it for right now, just wanted to let everybody know about my exciting weekend ahead. Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!! ![]()
