Devil May Cry Review
Written by: amaliksi

Starting from Dante's office, to Mallet Island, down to the Underworld, lugging up to Mallet Island, and all the way to Dante's office, Devil May Cry does a good job of putting you through some intense action, and somewhat a RE scare. Through the game, you encounter challenging demons that'll rip away at you to your limbs. To begin with, there's Marrionite, Bloddy Marrie, Fettish, a weird floting skull, Nobody, and a whole bunch more. And a game like this couldn't go good without those bosses that really piss you off, like Phantom, Shadow, Griffon, Nightmare, Death Sythe, Death Scissors, and the ruler of the Underworld named Mundus. DMC comes at you with 4 difficulty levels to begin with, and that's Normal. After you die a few times, you unlock Easy Automatic (which I highly recomend if you're just a beginner) that will help you alot. After you beat Normal, the game spits out Hard mode. After you beat that, the Legendary Dark Knight (which is Sparda's human form) is thrown at you. Then there's DMD mode- Dante Must Die- which after you beat gives you Super Dante- the ability to have unlimited DT/ Devil Trigger-. During DMD, I reccomend using LDK. The Devil Arms- melee weapons- have a wide variety of ways to control or use them. The first sword you begin the game with is called the Force Edge; this is the worst to begin with but it's the only one you can use in the begining of the game. And then you earn Alastor. The Alastor is a very quick and strong broad sword that I used through the game until I got the Sparda. With the Alastor, you can go into DT and you become super fast when fighting enemies. Alastor can also be upgraded at God of Time statues or in the begining of a mission by using Red Orbs- your currency or money-. With Red Orbs, you can unlock special attacks like Stinger, Round Trip, Air Raid, Air Hike, and Cyclone are all very affective on demons. The second weapons you get are called the Ifrit Gloves/ Gauntlets. Each attack you do can be charged up by holding down the attack button. The same way you can upgrade Alastor is the same way you can upgrade the Ifrits. By using Red Orbs, you can unlock Kick- 13, a flaming flare type punch, Meteor Blast, and Inferno. After you beat Vergi... I mean Nelo Angelo, you earn the ultimate sword, Sparda. Yes, that's the same sword Sparda used- besides the Yamato- to beat Mundus. It's stronger than Alastor by 2 times, and 3 times on Ifrit. The only downside to this is you can't use DT with Sparda until the "Final Battle" (unless you have Super Dante). Now onto Dante's guns, you start with semiautomatics called Ebony and Ivory. Then in mission 3, you find the Shotgun. After your final battle with Phantom, you get the Gernadegun in a gate shaft. The other guns you get along the way are the Needlegun- you can only use it underwater but it still really sucks-, and the Nightmare- Beta you get in the Tower Bedroom. Devil May Cry has really improved my gaming capabilities, -but didn't influence me on violence at all- and you will most definitely enjoy this game as much as I did. So buy the game and have a blast because Dante doesn't take no for an answer!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like amaliksi.
amaliksi must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could amaliksi possibly have for not rating a single film?
