Anyone who's played has to admit that the storyline, while not the best, is pretty decent despite some of its aweful lines. But can Disney, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Gemma Arterton really make the game come to life?
As far as I'm concerned, Jake, while good in the movies I've observed him in, just doesn't quite fit the role... when you see the prince in the first game of the series, the prince is only 17 ish... he's nimble and etc. I liked the fact that he changed throughout the series. I just don't think Jake is gonna be able to step into those shoes, as most actors wouldn't... I think a guy like that French fox guy from Ocean's 12 would have been good... someone who could involve more acrobatics in the movie.
As for moviechronicles' summary of the movie thus far
"In the fantasy adventure, Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world."
I wish they would've stuck more to the trilogy's storyline, even if it does make the Prince's father look kinda bad. And as for the names... their worse than... I can't think of anything they're worse than!!!
I guess I'll just have to hope for good CG and hope that Jake has some good stunt doubles...
Yeah, I kinda skipped out on this website all summer, but now I intend to apply myself... School starts today, but be prepared for some more interesting blogging going on as I am beginning to join more unions and blah blah blah...
School's been out for a week and all I've done is play through the Orange Box... I need to get my priorities straight!!! I think I'll have to buy Bio-Shock.
