I just finished reformating my PC for the first time since I bought it two years ago.
Well, now since both Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger supports each other's messaging service, I only need one messaging software. The problem is that I don't know which one is better. I have accounts for both Msn and Yahoo but which one should I download and use?
Is Live better or is Yahoo better?

i always like dyahoo, but it installs other usless crap on the hard drive lol i only use msn messenger so far, since that where most of my contacts are. But i still like yahoo messenger better.
You ever heard of trillian? its a messenger where you can connect to AIM,MSN,Yahoo and IRC.

yeah I know about trillian.
btw, yeah yahoo does install useless crap but if you select the custom (not typical) installation, you don't have to install those useless crap. They just want to trick people into believing that typical installation is the safest way to install their softwares.

I'd have to say I strongly prefer Yahoo IM over MSN messenger. It just has far more useful features. Also, it gets more frequent upgrades.

I use Win Live Messenger.. Mostly because the person who fixed our computer installed it

lol, yeah it seems most free software want to trick people to install other stuff, as long as it doesent have starforce included im ok

Try Trillian , it has aol, irc, msn and yahoo connections (multiple screen names even) All your contacts in one list

Well if you have to use bloatware, I'd pick Yahoo.
Otherwise use a mutli-protocol IM client like Trillian or Pidgin.
