OK, so I got some tips from Rach (PunkNerd5) about screencaps, so I'm gonna try and include them in this blog entry.

Reaper - 1x15 - Coming to Grips

This was a reallay good episode... just like all of Reapers episodes. Finally, Andi found out about Sam, and as expected, totally freaked out. It was funny when Sock and Ben locked her in the boot (or trunk) of the car... I can't believe Sam didn't let her out. And I can't believe she would actually believe that Sam would murder someone, she knows him better than that. The evil soul for the episode was a bit dumb, but it was cool how he could grow himself from just a piece, though I swear Sam is a bit thick sometimes, it should have been obvious that he needed to have the pieces to send the sould back to hell. And also... making a deal with the Devil, you'd think he'd know better than that by now... But he is still so adorable, I don't know why it has taken Andi so long to work that out.

My Name is Earl - 3x19 - Love Octogon

I was really looking forward to this episode... finally Earl is out of his coma... though i guess he wasn't really in it for that long, not as long as he was inprison for anyway. This episode was alright (not as good as last weeks Killerball which was just hysterical though) but it lacked plot... all it was was Earltrying to find Billie... there wasn't any side story in the ep, besides a couple of brief scenes with Joy and darnell living in the Crab Shack (I reckon theycould've played with that a bit more), and Randy trying to catch that bird (Yay Randy... getting over his fears!) I was surprised how accepting Billie was of Earl... I would've been a bit put of by the whole "I dreamt we were married thing", butI like her so I'm glad it worked out... I wonder if this means she will be in season 4... I thought it was cute how in the Wedding Photo bot she and Earl had their eyes shut... perfect match?

Doctor Who - 3x05 - The Poison Sky

And finally the best show of the week, Doctor Who. I really preferred this half to the first half, though I agree with other people on this site that it was a shame Freema was mostly only in it as an evil clone., but I think she did a good job with it, a bit similar to the Cyberman influenced Adeola from "Army of Ghosts". Ahh, the good ol' self sacrificing Doctor... it's hard to get sad about his departure when you know he will be safe, and I was right in thinking that it would be Luke to detonate the... thingy. It's a bit of a cliche. Luke was really annoying, I'm glad he died, I don't think he would've been able to live with himself anyway... he nearly killed the whole world because he wanted to be "clever"... dumbass!

Some of the best bits were: "Are you my mummy?" obviously, I had to rewind it and rewatch, I couldn't believe it!... Captain Jack reference... Rose on the monitor for a second... Marth clinging to the Doctor after he escaped the Sontaran ship... she looked like a little girl ... the ending... that was a cool ending, I'm so glad Martha will be in next weeks episode as well... The Valiant... oh I miss that ol' Aircraft carrier... I miss the Master . That cool atmosphere explosion... that was awesome... though i don't understand how planes and tall buildings didn't get burnt, or even a bit singed... Can't wait for next week's "The Doctors Daughter"... how awesome will that ep be!

MarioKart Wii

I bought MarioKart for my Wii yesterday... I've never been very good at racing car games, as I always just hold down the accelerator and crash into the walls constantly, though this game it seems that holding down the accelerator works ok... though I still have trouble when it comes to driving along roads that you can fall off.

Clerks and Chasing Amy

(Ben Afflek and Jason Lee)

I decided to start watching the Kevin Smith films because Jason lee from 'My Name is Ealr' is in most of them... I thought it would be funny to see what him when he was younger... he looks so different with a full beard and moustache, instead of just moustache. The moustache definitely makes Earl Earl. these movies were funny... I like Clerks better, even though it is black and white... mostly because I don't really like all the talk about lesbians in Chasing Amy... I've got nothing against it, it just doesn't really interest me. For both movies though, I wish they weren't so crude... I don't know why films and tv shows think they need to swear heaps and talk about crude stuff to be funny... I guess that's just the world we live in... that's why I love Sci-Fi... it mostly (except maybe Torchwood ) doesn't have to resort to those typoes of things to be entertaining.

Oh yeah, and Ben Afflek's beard is rubbish!

Well, that's it for this week... hopefully I will be motivated enough to do this every week... if I get enough comments, so please, if you read this blog leave a comment, even if it's just "I read your blog" so I know how many people have read it. Thanks

I read your blog! and by read I mean I glanced over it with my eyes shut.
I didn't read the stuff for shows I haven't seen, so that just left Earl and the movies.
Have you seen Dogma? That was the first Kevin Smith film i saw. I'm surprised I had the guts to see more View Askewniverse films after that. Jason Lee looks even stranger with no facial hair at all.

Mark- Yeah, he looks very funny with no facial hair... and even funnier dressed as a woman
Lin- I have the same problem... I was doing the rainbow one and I fell off so many times... they need more guard rails... but I am getting better I even came first for one cup (the first one ie. the easiest )

Mallrats is my favorite Kevin Smith film. Not only do you get Earl, but Randy shows up as well.

I was disappointed w/ "Earl" this week too. Joy and Crabman didn't have their usual space to really flex their comedy muscles. Hey, I'm glad Billie/Milano got a job, but I don't thing Earl should have gotten married so quickly.

Hey Hey... Those are some mighty fine screencaps you have there

During the super-cool firey atmosphere burning thing, should there have been clouds in the sky after it was finished. I would have thought that they would have burnt up too?

Anyways, I loved seeing the burning from the view of the Sontaran ship... Super-mega-cool effects. Do they have a bigger budget this year?

The boyfriend keeps trying to hire out Dogma, but no one has it down here! I loved Mallrats... Both of them, actually. Jay and Silent Bob are mega awesome

Dr Who was awesome! I laughed so hard when he said 'Are you my mummy...' And I agree Luke was very anoying, and it was obvious that the Dr was going to be safe. Can't wait for the next episode. *Wonders who the doctor slept with... And what his daugher will be like...*

Lin- yeah, i came first in the first three races of that cup, then came last for rainbow row, so i managed to come 2nd overall... i finished all the cups last night
Auntie- Yeah I watched Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back yesterday... those were hilarious... i really loved Mallrats, and, OMG, Jason Lee was hot when he was young ... Ethan Suplee was funny... wish they hadgiven him a bigger role... good to see he's lost a bit of weight since then for "Earl"
harihudson- yeah, Joy and crabman are way to funny to leave out.
Rach- Yeah, Jay and Silent Bob are really funny... glad they got their own movie.. i have to do a blog about it next week
love_sick_pup- I think his daughter dates right back to the very first series of Doctor Who back in the 60s... yikes, what a 'call-back' I don't really have much info as my dad was only 4 when it was on... he was a Patrick Troughton fan.

Hi Alison, Thanks for tracking me, I am tracking you as well. Reaper is one of my fav shows! Ya have to put yourself in Andi's position. I would have freaked out too. Although I agree that she should have given Sam the benefit of the doubt! Dr. Who is also becoming one of my favorite shows. I finally have all past season dvd's and I'm playing catch up! Ben Affleck's beard is indeed rubbish. Not a good look for him at all. I'll be out of town for mother's day. If your are a mother Happy Mother's Day and to your mum, Have a Happy Thursday, Mark

Hey,

Nice to meet ya...

Okay, now... I'll skip to the fun stuff: DW!!!

I really liked the episode... Funny, evil Martha didn't make me think of her cousin at all, she didn't enter my mind, not once; oh, I know... it's Freema too (I'm not that innocent, come one ), but I so not think of them as the same person that I do not make parallels between them . Yes... well... who thought for a moment The Doctor was gonna die, ummm, okay, if it's gonna happened (and yes, well, you, know not The Doctor, but at some point one has to believe a certain hunk will want to leave the show... oh and I don't go for spoilers so ummm, when I make a comment like that it's not one and I don't want a response that is one - sorry, since you don't know me you might think I was spoiling you or something...) so a regeneration would not be out of the question, but not this early in a series, right? and ummm, that would have been annihilation, not an option . Yeah, I quite liked Luke, he reminded me of me as a child... well, I was a little less evil if I say so...

The mummy bit was the best!!! . I really didn't know Freema was staying for more than the two-parter as I have a crush on her (hence the avvie) I was very happy to see the ending . Can't wait for Saturday's epi... I'm sure there's a trick to the "daughter" thing... but I can't think what it is.

You must regret adding me now... I did run out a bit and all on DW... Ummm, do you want me to talk about TW now?
