Sorry for the very late September monthly blog but here I'm with a lot of things to talk about.

September was a big month for me because of the following:

- The holiday has finished and I'm back to school but lucky me students were given one more week to stay at home because of all the fuss about the swine flu so it was a nice week for us teachers.
- Recently two cases of swine flu were discovered in a nearby school.
- Ramahdan "month of fasting for muslims" has finished and I'm glad that I finished reading the Holy Quran for the first time in my life during Ramahdan.
- I watched two new Arabic serieses.
- The most important thing was my birthday on the 14th of September and celebrating that I would like to give this lovely CAKE , only few will understand this JOKE. Have fun reading my blog

--------------------------------------------------------

Before I start I would like to say that I'm very happy about the new improvements in the monthly blog union, the new icons, the new cards. They all look great and the more things are added the more I enjoy writing those blogs although they take a lot of time.

I didn't find my card so far so I will upload it onece they are ready.

--------------------------------------------------------

iWatch:

Movies:
- Barton Fink
Score: 6
- Ed Wood
Score: 7
- State of Play
Score: 7.5
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Score: 8
- District 9
Score: 8.5
- The Big Lebowski
Score: 8.5

AND THE AWARDS GO TO

The Big Lebowski & District 9

I really couldn't seperate those movies from each other as both were so great and earned a score of 8.5 from me.

---------------------

Honorable Mention

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Om el Banat (Mother of the Girls), a great Kuwaiti series

------------------------------------------------------------------

iPlay:

Trophies:
This month I was aiming at a Platinum MotorStorm Pacific Rift and i spent hours playing this game. But seriously, it has the hardest trophies I tried to earn so far, specially the online portion of the game is insanely difficult. Here is the total of trophies I managed to collect in this game so far.

Total of 33 NEW trophies:

All are from MotorStorm Pacific Rift

- Here is my latest PSN trophy card which shows that I reached level 7

Champion (Gold Trophy): The hardest trophy I've ever earned so far. I can simply compare it to other games' platinums seriously.

Played:

- Final Fantasy VI (GBA, 1 hour)
- Rock Band 2 (PS3, 7 hours)
- Guitar Hero Metallica (PS3, 6 hours)
- MotorStorm Pacific Rift (PS3, 30 hours)

Finished:

- MotorStorm Pacific Rift (PS3)
My Score: 8.5

AND THE AWARDs GO TO

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift

Boost: from MotorStorm
The boost is not an item really but without it you simply cannot win.

Ali: I'm the hero of the month for acing one of the hardest racers

Female Driver: My female driver in MotorStorm surely survived some nasty accidents

Any vehicle that does this to you: Big Rigs and Monster trucks are your ugliest enemies in MotorStorm

------------------------------------------------------------------

iBuy:

Acquisitions:

I bought a lot of things this month and I got a great gift too:

- Little BIG Planet animated theme (PS3)
- Batman Arkham Asylum (Birthday Gift, PS3)
- Bionic Commando Rearmed (PSN)
- Burn Zombie Burn! (PSN)
- Soldner-X (PSN)
- Rock Band import key. Got Rock Band from a friend and imported all the songs to my Rock Band 2 for 5$ (PS3)
-
Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
-
Mirror's Edge (PS3)
-
Battlefield Bad Company (PS3)
-
Call of Duty 3 (PS3)

Blogging your Way to a Six Figure Income, 9 hours

iAward:

If you attend school or college or even have work, What is the effect of swine flu over your school, college or work?

Random Babe from DeviantART
Author:
=chatgr

Lemmy
from Guitar Hero Metallica . Just chose him because I like his song "Ace of Spades"

Uncharted 2: I began to check out GameRadars scores recently which I find quite authentic and different than other sites which makes it distinctive. Anyways, the surprise is Uncharted 2 getting a perfect 10 from them.

Okamiden on NDS
I know most of you will disagree on this but to me, a beautiful game as Okami, I really didn't want it on a handheld. But who knows, maybe the developer will prove me wrong

Wii price cut: You might think that this news suits surprise of the month but it wasn't a surprise for me because it was expected. But indeed it was a big news and a clever move from Nintendo to maintain their position in the market specially after seeing the aggressive competition from Sony and Microsoft

eerie: Read it in Final Fantasy VI, it means strange BUT in my slang language it means "My wiener"

The Flyin' King: One of my favorite pieces of music from Earthworm Jim

"When things fall, they fall ... Life's a game of chance. You play your cards, and fate plays her...", Setzer from Final Fantasy VI

Lost Paradise (A water park in my country, Bahrain)
It is my first visit to a water park and the best thing happened to me during September

iDid:

September's summary:

I enjoyed September more than the previous months because I did a lot of things and I will try to maintain the same pace next months and even try to make'em better.

You will notice the new "Others" section which has the rest of the activities that can't be listed under the rest of the sections. You will notice that the others section is quite big because I spent a lot of time fishing this month.

The anime/series section is bigger than usual not because I watched a lot of animes but because I watched two great Arabic serieses, 2 hours a day.

I hope you had a great September as well. Sorry if I haven't commented on any monthly blog but soon I will

Cheers

Just 1 hour FFVI? -.- You should play it more often it's a game that shouldn't be left un-played for a while, go go play it! anyways, that's a nice monthly blog, I'll probably make a monthly blog the next time

I agree with the overall best of the month, it was really the best thing! I really want to go again

That was a great entertaining blog as usual! That water park looks a lot of fun!

I was also a bit disappointed Okamiden was announced for the DS, but after watching the videos I think the game will do really well on the platform.

My College classes were suspended for a week last semester due to the Swine Flu, I think we had three confirmed cases over there which is no surprise since it is a huge College.

I like the new icons and cards as well, but it just seems like the updating of things has gotten slower. But hopefully things will start picking up again and everything.
You know I have that game Motorstorm but never played it, it came with the PS3. So the trophies are hard to get huh? Well it is a good thing I haven't played it or anything like that. But congrats on getting what you have in the game and making it to level 7. Me I just made it to level 4, Nice touch of picking yourself as hero of the month. With the iRead part you saw that article too about how to blog to be a six figure income. My husband sent me that link about that I just skimmed over the article though. I mean I like to blog but I don't think I could blog about interesting things though. And I will say that is one crazy looking water slide, and sorry to hear about the swine flu thing that must be awful really. But congrats on all you gotten this past month, I hope October turns out to be just as great.

Always lovely to see you little chart on your active this month. lol. I see internet still dominated your time... Understandable, though. lol. May be you should fit more exercising time in you daily or week activities. Although with swine flu pretty erratic lately, may be is not so safe to go to a gym. lol.

I agree with you point on Okami... Is shouldn't be on handheld. They should fully upgrade the game on the current gen consoles. In the likes of the PS3 and 360. Although, like you said, only time will tell whether a handheld version is worth awhile or not. I mean, like GTA Chinatown war... That game was amazing on the DS.

Anyway, great blog... Although is a bit late but good things comes to those who'd waited. lol. Until next time.

The Joker -- the most baddest supervillain of all time. Ledger make him better, too. May he rest in peace.

I'm rather keen on getting Mario & Luigi 3. How is it? I'm also rather looking forward to Uncharted 2. Nice blog!

Extremely busy month!

I too bought the LBP dynamic theme, watching Sackboy running 24/7. I only bought Kingdom Hearts 2 (still trying to find the first KH) and FFXII (the game won't even work on my PS2! Uggh.) this month. I had to get a keyboard for my PS3 recently because I can't stand typing using the controller. Anyway, happy to hear about your progress as well as your experience on Ramadan (I actually learned about this in Humanities a year ago). My native american beliefs have something like that too where we fast for a number of days while seeking a vision on our path to life. I haven't experienced this yet since I need to have a spiritual purpose to do so. It will be a while for me till I'm able to fast for my native traditions, but I do pray in my native language when I wake up, before meals, and before I go to bed. You can say I'm pseudo-traditional in some ways (realized this was a long comment, but this was just a good subject for me to comment on )

very in good monthly blog. i love the picture you have of the waterpark looks like fun, hope it wasn't to cold.

Ive always wanted to play LBP and Motorstorm but I dont have a PS3. Over here in the US Swine Flu is always in the news but I think people are overreacting.

That halloween babe is hot

Awesome monthly blog. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift looks great , I need to buy it soon. Also even though the Wii got a price cut, I don't think it will help much since the PS3 sales are rising.
I can't wait for Uncharted 2!

@_overdose: thanks man, it is nice to know people who share the same birth day. Say hi to her for me

@tudyniuz: thanks man, appreciate it

@bigd575: thanks
yeah, we hear about cases everyday but I still think the whole thing is exaggerated. Right, I have a nice collection of games and I will start playing Batman soon.

@Drake_Bell004: thanks drake, it is surely encouraging to see positive comments

@Colmillios: thanks for the sweet comment
Yes about motorstorm, if you are not into racing and hard games you should totally avoid this one. In my case it was very hard because I was aiming for the gold medals but if you play it normally regardless of what medal you earn then it would be a bit easier. You can always play some easy games and earn more trophies to increase your level
I already read half of that six figure book and it is quite interesting how can someone get his income from blogging but it is really hard and requires dedication and hard work but I'd really love to give it a try that is why I'm reading it. Don't worry, thankfully there isn't any swine flu cases in my school yet and I hope it remains that way. Thanks again

@SGTiD1NG0: yeah sure it is, I have a big rubber ball that I kick and box when I get totally angry with MotorStorm. At least releasing my anger that way is better than throwing off the joystick over the TV

@dark_massenger: I will comment back to u verbally when I get back home

@ Pierst179: Thanks , yeah it was actually a lot of fun but I'm pretty sure it is nothing compared to other parks around the globe
Thankfully we don't have any cases of swine flu in my school so far and I hope it remains like that.

@ gormo4: yes indeed I'm a teacher , it is quite a hard job but I try always to adapt. As for the movies I really advice anyone to watch district 9 but the other movie might not appeal to everyone , my advice is watch it with some friends who love to watch a good comedy

@ 1995_1996_1997: I know it is hard to stay away from your consoles but I agree with your father because studying is the thing that will secure your future and that is my advice as a teacher

@Thomas-Crown: I know you always wait for that little chart every month, I like your little comments about it . I totally agree with your advice about exercising, you will see some improvements this month hopefully

@cbmurphy2489: I saw some parts from the new batman game when my brother was playing it and hell yeah the joker was such a badass
Posted Oct 12, 2009 2:49 am PT
@ ShadowLaguna: My brother actually is the one who bought Mario and Luigi but since we share our acquisitions I put it in my blog. I'm really planning to play it but after I finish the second one.
But I can give you my brother's opinion about it, he really loved the game and agrees with most sites that it is the best in the series so far.

@Foolz3h: I'm really trying to make it even more busy

@ 6h05tly: yeah I really couldn't resist watching that little sack boy running all the time . I totally agree about the keyboard thing because it is very boredom and time consuming to type in the letters using the joystick. I have a keyboard too but I need to get a better one. I think the apple keyboard is really neat and sexy but I think it is a bit expensive. We Muslims fast a month every year as part of our religion and it is considered some sort of praying too. It is kinda hard at first but you get used to it later.

@ zxv33: thanks, it was great the weather too

@wildcat2000: guess you get yourself one after the price cut
I totally agree about the swine flu. Agree about the picture too , check out the artist's other drawings, he just into hot chicks

@Lightchaos: MotorStorm is a really great racer but keep in mind that it is hard too but if you are a skilled player, you will have no problems
Yeah I agree about the PS3, with this price cut and the improving library of games I don't think the wii will stand a chance if they remained in such a static state.

So much win!
Posted Oct 12, 2009 9:39 am PT
lol female driver is the heroin of the month, lol!
Posted Oct 13, 2009 6:49 pm PT
@mitu123: thank you

@TristanH12: Don't underestimate her
If you've seen the brutality of MotorStorm you will definitely agree with me
Posted Oct 14, 2009 9:42 am PT
Awesome blog! I've been playing Uncharted 2, and it's amazing. I also loved Okami, and water parks are incredible. You bought Mirror's Edge too! I'm sending you a friend request on PSN, you should be getting a request from MareInfinitus.
Posted Oct 16, 2009 9:22 pm PT
@MareInfinitus: thank you
Looking forward to your friend request
