Ringo Starr is well-known around the world for being a member of the Beatles. My Dad, who loved the Beatles, is a big fan of him for a Beatle. I'm a big fan of him too. Not for being a Beatle however - but for being a narrator t=for Thomas The Tank Engine. Ringo was the first narrator for the show. When Britt Allcroft offered him the role when season one was going under production, Ringo was unsure at first, as he hadn't read the Railway Series. But he changed his mind, and became the first narrator. He delivered his lines well, and put great enthusasim in his narration, which was what put the first season to great success. I particually like his Gordon voice, which was potrayed deep and well. Ringo confirmed Gordon was his favourite character to voice. Ringo returned to narrate the second season of Thomas. His nrration in this season was even better than his season. He used better voices and enthusasim into it, and gave classic voices to characters such as Duck, Diesel and Harold. His improved and great narration is one of the reasons why season two is my favourite season. Ringo also potrayed Mr COnductor in the American spin-off of Thomas; Shining Time Station. Being British, I haven't seen much of this show. But from what I've already seen, he put grat acting into this two, potraying Thomas' special friend. Ringo left when the third season began to go into production, and was replaced by Michael Angelis in the UK and George Carlin in the US. Although Angelis is my personal favourite narrator, and Carlin is pretty good too, I miss Ringo. It would be nice if he came back, just to narrate an episode or two. Still, he was a great narrator. His role will always be remember, and I'm sure he will always have a place for Thomas in his heart.

Veronica Taylor is best known for when she voiced Ash and May in the anime, 'Pokemon'. And I have to say, she did a wonderful job at it. She did very good at making Ash sound male. There aren't many voice actresses I know that voice male characters and do a good job at it. And her voice for May is wonderful, for she gives May such a sweet, lovely voice. It's just too bad she doesn't do it anmore. If only she still did it, and didn't leave. Her replacements aren't very good. The actress who plays Ash now makes him sound as if he has something caught in his throat. The actress who plays May now isn't that bad, but her voice for May isn't anything like Taylor's sweet voice for May.
Still, Veronica Taylor will be well remembered by me, and will go down as one of my favourite voice actresses.

Pierce Brosnan is best known for his career as James Bond. I think he makes a great Bond, as he looks exactly as Bond should. My mother thinks he's the best-looking Bond. Hee hee. But now, Brosnan has left his career as Bond, and from next year, he will do something which I don't think many people saw coming(I certainly didn't). He is going to be the new narrator of my favourite TV show, Thomas The Tank Engine, replacing Michael Angelis and Michael Brandon. After growing up with his voice these sixteen years of my life, it is sad for me to say goodbye to my personal favourite narrator, Michael Angelis. I hope that Brosnan will impress me just as Angelis did all my life.

There isn't a great deal which I know about Keilo Toda, except that she does the voice of Thomas in the Japanese version of Thomas the Tank Engine. For a woman, she does a very good job. I appreciate that they used her to make Thomas sound young. I think she should do the voice of Thomas in the British version too, if she knows English. We could do with individual voice actors giving the characters' voices over here in the UK, rather than the narrator giving their voiced. Overall, although, as I said, I don't know a great deal about Keilo Toda, she does a very great job of doing the voice of Thomas the Tank Engine.

Michael Angelis began narrating Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends, in the third series, 1991, and has been narrating, ever since, making him the longest narrator running. He is truely a talented narrator for Thomas. The thing that makes him outstanding is that he takes pride in his narration, making him part of the story. He sounds very interested in his work. He gives excellent voices to the characters, including his Liverpudlian accent for James, his Scottish accent for Duncan, his high-pilot accent for Harold and his Yorkshire accent for the Fat Controller. As well as the TV series, he has narrated Calling All Engines, the Pack episodes, and the new audio books for the Railway Series. I hope he never retires from narrating Thomas, because he's the best!!!
